To everyone saying I'm a jerk and ignorant etc., my apologies. It was a stupid comment and I agree that people shouldn't have to justify whatever they choose to spend their money on. I also am aware that great deals can be found at thrift shops, yard sales etc. I rent and would be happy to have the financial means to own a trailer and I don't believe in the "trailer trash" stereotype, and have gotten angry with people who say such things. I really don't know what got into me, but I am sorry.

@zyanyali: I live in a trailer and have a '$300 mixer' that I (well my husband) got at a yard sale for $40. So, yes. it is possible for us trailer folk to have nice things. Just because something originally costs one amount, doesn't mean it can't be purchased later for less. It's called secondhand.

p.s. your videos always have fantastic lighting.  do you use professional camera lights in your kitchen or do you just have really good lighting in there? my kitchen is soooo dark, no matter what i do.

my son made and left egg nog cookies for Santa last Christmas! how awesome!!! :) :) i can vouch that egg nog cookies are very yummy! after all, i had to make sure they were left on the plate with several bites in them the next morning so everyone could see Santa had been 'round, lol. the egg nog icing featured in your blog sounds great! i am going to definitely try that. your video is making me feel Christmas-y. i have been slow this year at getting in the spirit. love you Jolene!!!

sweetie, it works better when you put this cookie spoon in hot water before you put it in the cookie mix you have to repeat it every time). you will see. it works fantastc :-) best wishes from a queen to a queen :-)
