  • @nkkillkrew It basically means "the young people of Paris."

  • Hilarious!! But don't worry "Les jeunes de Paris" aren't like that lol

  • Well I'm french and it's a bad impression ! Come to Paris and you'll see what it's really like.

It's just like a french doing an american impression when he's eating Mc donalds

  • @SharlotteB1809 Except your impression of an American would be far more accurate than our impression of you, sadly.

  • Emma looks sexy even as a.......... frenchy. Bleh can't believe that just came out of me

  • they have done 2 so far but i really hope they do more

  • I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Miley Cyrus version was better.

  • @JaySBeeable Its OK in time you will see that Miley is very talented. She will pay for the Hannah Montanna thing for a while...but not forever. ;)

  • the song is addictive lol

  • Comment removed

  • 1:53 failed

  • I have no idea what the lyrics in the song are, but it sounds so sexy.

And Emma Stone looks hot in this skit as well.

  • @XFS540 that song is SH*T haha. Nevertheless i'm french, i hate that song. No melody, no meaning.

Ta douleur by Camille: search the music video lol

I send you a message with the link for the lyrics in English :D

  • Seeing Paul Brittian dance was so cute :)

    This skit was very good!!!

  • Magnificent show, in France, no television took the initiative to create a broadcast so good and with so much young talent.

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone else seeing a resemblance between Emma Stone and Audrey Hepburn in "Funny Face"?

  • @eye5wide5hut yeeeeeeeeeeeees totally !=)

  • they actually got the french accents down really well

  • Oddly, your video quality is the best out of the rest.

    Thank you for uploading. :)

  • Emma stone sounds sexy talking french but when she was smoking a lucy complete turn off

  • Paul Brittain has a groove! Did this skit make the cut? I don't remember seeing it on air. It might be the funniest one of the year!

  • @UnallowedUserName It definitely did. It was the same ep. as "I Broke my arm." or did you not see that one too?

  • They need to invite Camille to be the musical guest. This is a great tune, it would be fun to watch her perform it live.

  • 1:28 LMFAO :P

  • Great skit. They need to be more abstract on the show. Good for her too. She looks great and is fun.

  • i was so confused by this

but i just love watching bobby moynihan's(pretty sure thats not spelled right) face when he dances

  • AHAHAHA! Emma is sooo cool!!! :D i like their dance in 1:27 - 1:43 .. sooo awesome! :D

  • I dont know what they are saying, so Im making up my own dialogue. Its hilarious.

  • I am older and I think this skit is a parody of the beatnik style that was popular here and in France in the 1950's. I remember movies where the "Cool Daddyo" beatniks would sit around in cafes playing bongo drums, smoking little cigarettes, and acting stoned. The fashion was pale skin, black hair, berets, horizontally striped black & white shirts. skinny black pants and ballet flat shoes with white socks. The guys grew goatees and everyone wore dark sunglasses and danced like these guys do.

  • I'm french and I didn't understood a word they said xD

  • @Robidou95 do you know the name of the song in the background?

  • @SODA601 Ta Douleur by Camille :)

  • may i know the name of the song please...

  • @miazful Camille - Ta Douleur

  • they really cant speak french lmao :P isok we break out in spontanious dance here in quebec too :D

  • I need subtitles to understand what they're saying in french. I'm french.

    But that was funny anyways.

  • lol the first time she tried to pull out her bra she failed and her shirt came up

  • "Tu as l'aire d'un imbécile"

    " (something) vous voir nu?"

    slap

    :)

    i love that haha

  • need to learn French..

  • Bonne chance....

  • Now thats what i call a french sexy party!!!

  • that was greaat!! emma stone is always always so hilarious.

  • does anybody know the name of the actor that plays the guy with glasses??

  • @flavinhaperuibe Paul Brittan

  • @ianthopia thaank you!!

  • excellent !

    j'adore =)

  • @shinox93 I'm glad that you enjoy it and know that it is only a comedy scene... some

people here don't understand that fact and complain about the accent, accuracy etc etc. It's just a joke.

  • I love the France colored balloons at the end!

  • omgosh she's so funny!! that dancing is just amazing.

I just love it ! The head movement at 1:37 made my day !

  • paul's dancing is hilarious in the background!

  • Oh la la! Emma Stone a un accent trop craquant! *_*

  • Juste France 3 au début ça m'a tuée xD

Just France 3 at the beggining has killing me, this is the worst and square TV channel in France. But this part is really better than original French series, I know it I'm French. Search "Hélene et les garçons" and you'll laught =)

  • It's a parodie of "the Madison scene" in "Bande à part" by Jean-Luc Godart in case you don't know =)

  • When did this happen in the show? I saw t on tv, then couldnt find it on the hulu version?

  • It's based on Jean luc godard. Style

It's not making fun of the French , it's telling the truth the French do smoke , there names are Marius, they dress very chic in black

They woman are sexy and slap men in the face ( I hope ) and they have very good under rated music , the song in this is so good !!! So French people that don't like it go watch a Godard from the 60 ,s

And take this scene as a compliment !!

  • 1:25-1:50= LOLPARADE

  • @LucidDivinity,

It's how Americans perceive how French people perceive how Americans perceive them. That's why it's funny.

  • lol what the fuck is emma doin?! LOL

  • I don't get it, why was this funny? Were they parodying something? I'm not hating, I seriously feel kind of lost o.O

  • I don't know why this was so funny but it was and I love it.

  • Why did they choose this song?? Even the french can't understand what she says

  • @flunka Yes we can, hahaha

  • Comment removed

MDR

  • Hahaaaa !!! Merci, j'ai bien ri !!!

  • all i understood was grapefruit bla bla but still a funny clip

  • WHY AM I SO ADDICTED TO THIS?!?!

  • Thanks for posting this...I only caught part of it when it actually aired. This is addictive.

  • haha. this was pretty cool.

  • lol french stereotype

  • why is this amazing to me since i've seen it

  • It's very funny, ti's a pity i can't understand everything, but it's not for the french.

Someone said the french series are better it's wrong they are not, beleive me. Of course it's not the reality, it's a parody.

Bien naze.

  • I really like the song!

  • Mad funny...and the fact that some French ppl aren't finding it funny is even more funny, and Emma and home boy in the back can really dance like some hipsters. I might have to steal some of these "French moves" ha ha

no smoking in bars since 01:01:2008

  • Americans Have A vision of France dating from the 50s ...

    they are not updated

  • @feeback It's a joke, obviously.... it's not the real perception of French culture.... IT'S A JOKE, THAT'S ALL...why is that so difficult to understand?!

  • A chier.

    Vive Plus Belle La Vie

  • @fith0ny

  • Emma Stone is kind of a good dancer in this actually! haha

And the skinny guy in the striped shirt in the back...

  • What song is that?!?!

  • haahaha i'm french and i actually find this scene funny, coze of the dance and everything. people a parody is meant to be exaggerated !!! ;)

  • @latavia01 Ah Finally someone that understand the purpose of it! Merci!

It's not funny. French Tv Shows are bad. It's easy to parody them. Here that's failed !

  • i'm french and easily laugh at our ridiculous tv shows, but sorry, this wasn't fun at all.. it just doesn't correspond to our tv shows at all, i never ever saw anything looking like this before in any french tv show.. to me it looks more like the american shows like high school musical or glee.. 2 bad the pardoy didn't really fit the french tv, it could have been fun, but this wasn't.

  • @thejackoss its a comedic sketch, not a documentary :D

  • @thejackoss It is not meant to be factually accurate, clearly. It is a parody, of a perception... not of the shows. It's a joke, comedy....

  • HAHAHAHA

  • This parody bears no resemblance to French series :) Set, framing, attitude of the actors... everything looks so American! A kind of ‘Friends’ in a language that doesn’t exist (BTW, thanks for transcriptions, I couldn’t understand my own language either :D) And smoking in a public place... WTF?

Please let me know when characters of French series begin to dance in the middle of a conversation, I would be very interested in seeing this :) (did they think they were in Grease or something?)

  • Learn to take a fucking joke you dipshit.

  • @Amandaryn: calm down, it's meant to be funny.. as in a stereotype. Most stereotypes aren't correct anyway. It's not like people see this and think "oh this is what the French do and how they act all the time".

  • @Amandaryn It's called a parody...obviously this isn't attempting to do an actual French television show; this is probably how a good number of Americans assume French TV is, due to their negligence and assumption of stereotypes. If you look at it though that scope, it's really funny.

  • @Amandaryn OMG it's just a fucking show. That's what SNL is about; making parodies and exagerating the truth in any situation. I'm pretty sure they know that french series are not like that. Jeeze..learn to live a little.

  • That video insult France !

  • Do you know that smoking in bars is forbiden in France?^^

  • @EllionKayerd Yes, and that does nothing to stop the French from doing it

  • The French people aren't like that!!! But I love! They've done it very well!

???????? I really want to know what they try to say :D

But the " Ah ouais " is perfect !!

    funny video

  • @pastis "- Excusez moi mademoiselle, voulez (???)

    ("-Excuse me miss, (???)

    - No, you look like a fool.

    - Oh yeah, you really sleep naked?")

  • @LittleBirdAlex

  • @pastis I'm pretty sure he said "Puis-je vous voir nue?" as in "Can I see you naked?"

  • Looks like our crappy tv series in France...

And french dubbing for US tv series is worst !

  • c'est bien fun comme scène !

  • Comment removed

*ironie profonde*

  • @Kayme68 MDR!

  • was this actually in french in the original snl in America.. might be a stupid question, but im confused haha.

  • That's crap,not even funny.

And i can't even understand a single french word when they're supposed to "speak" my language.

  • Totally cracked me up. Love the way the guy stays in "French" chacter, and the loud laugh from crowd when they all first dance...

  • Comment removed

  • Mais LOL! N'importe quoi! :D

    Stop the drugs! :D

The artist Camille is totally crazy so her song is a good choice! :)

But I don't understand what they say at the beginning (and I'm French)

  • @terreaterre lol yes I didn't understand too, and I'm french, maybe it's FWEINSSEE lol

    mdr

so I must talk the ingueliche lol mdr

  • Did NBC not have the rights to use this song? Is that why they cut this skit out of the episode online?

  • And yes. I know the date is wrong. But I didn't notice it until it was published. Its actually supposed to be 10/23/10. See I'm not a complete moron. Lol. TYPO!!!!!!!!!!. MY BAD :-0

  • For everyone who wants to know. The song is called, "Ta Douleur "( your pain). Artist is Camille. I hope that helps everyone. I forgot to put it in the title or tag. Sorry

  • Loved it. Especiallye her dancing!
