@rrring99 How many third party candidates do you see on major news networks? If you are not a republican or a democrat you do not get invited to debates and you do not get covered. It's unlikely Paul would have the popularity he enjoys today if he had never campaigned as a republican.

Also, not all republican voters are war hawks, and some of those who are can be changed. Paul is also a true conservative in the historical sense. The GOP has given up a lot of the values on which it used to stand
