@larry50 I've never had that happen, but they're only aluminum so I could definitely see that being a possibility.
For dealing with heavy winds, the heavier options from companies like Matthews are a better option. Of course, they're much heavier, so it's a trade-off.
Could you also use a neutral density filter in order to keep the background from blowing out or would that cause the subject to become to dark?

@hooptyndablowfish You're right that the subject would also get too dark. A black net behind the subject could also do the trick though...
