The trial lawyers' lobby is the most powerful in dc. habeous corpus reform? what a joke. Eleven years and $10 million in legal fees at public expense to carry out a death sentence? Barry bonds purjery case...seven years and $75 million in court costs and legal fees to mete out 30 days of home detention and a $4k fine? Dollar devaluation (fiat currency), the banksters and their ponzi shcemes, the bankster owned lawyer/politicians that run legal interference for the bankster syndicates.
Could it be that government is totally impotent? Could it be that the fat cats who are calling the shots don't give a hoot about average people and their families? The US needs more voices like yours, Mr Garvin.
If voting did any good- it would have done good by now. Voting no longer works. The ones waiting in line to be voted in are just as evil (at least most of them). So don't count on anything miraculous happening in the future until it all crashes.

Extremely wealthy shifting their income to –‘capital gains’- and paying less percentage of taxes than working people; and nothing into S.S. and Medicare – and vilifying it because it will not have –‘enough’- money – after 20 years.
Manufactured B.S. myth machine .... promoted by wrongwing media, propaganda mills/think tanks .... funded by Koch Bro., Coors, Forbes, Richard Mellon Scaife and – all lobbying and buying politicians [now, with anonymous and unlimited donations] to protect their “hard-earned” - INHERITED MONEY !

If that government also works to force its citizens to obey it, then that government is the United States government. I agree with @avianphlu5397 - the system is irreparable.
