great band and concert although ther was some feedback and sound issues. and the arena was way to small for van halen to be playing there. but was still a great concert
Worcester had better sound & crowd, it rocked. Providence had a strange, drunk crowd. Mancester had sound/ vocal issues & something was up between the Van Halens & Dave, Wolfie wasn't himself. But it was all worth my while to see these guys together again, esp. from the PIT. Great abs on Dave, Eddie is still amazing, sexy show!! Please post some more videos from Manchester, NH.
Thanks to Eddie & Dave for this reunion, saw them 4x in the day, 3x this tour. Eddie rocked, I was in the PIT facing the catwalk, Dave sang to me, little blonde, plaid shorts, please post some videos...make my day, 47 yr old mother of 4!
i was at this show and the only thing i didn't like about it was the place it was at, the verizon wireless arena, being a hockey arena, has horrible acoustics and all the instruments were congested into a giant rumbley bass sound. that set aside i thought it was a wonderful show , ive been a van halen fan for a long time and i was very happy with what i saw
I thought the show was pretty good. I don't really know much, but it looked like Roth had trouble hearing himself out of the monitors at times, but the band rocked hard. I will admit that the crowd was kind of sedate, however.
I dont know what everyone else is talking about. this show was awsome. i mean yeah the crowd didnt seem to really be into it, but the band's part was amazing.
That was the worst Van Halen performance I've ever seen. No energy. Dave sounded like a nightclub singer. They should be ashamed for not including Michael Anthony on the tour. As soon as the show was over, the band rushed to their waiting SUV's and got out of there quick.
If you have watched any other recent Van Halen shows, you would have realized that Edward hasn't jumped around as much as he did on the 1st Leg of the tour in 2007....I still
Doesn't change the fact that he was particularly sedate. He played well for a guy who had to look at an audience of over-tired, pent-up, stoned-out, middle-aged duds, the vast majority of whom stood motionless, like a bunch of passive youtube-watching zombies. In Rio, 10,000 fans becomes a swaying, dancing ocean of bliss-out partiers. Not in Manchester. Say what you will, but ours is becoming a lame, dispassionate culture. Stand ing still at a VH concert is pathetic. Period.
actually, i was going crazy at that concert and im a 14 year old girl not a over-tired, pent-up, stoned-out, middle-aged dude. but a bunch of people did fit that criteria. ur so lucky if u went to rio! crowd at gigantour is crazy!
after party my ass!!! the band had left right away...However, my friend saw them sound check before the show from about half way back of the arena. The show was very rushed and loud and sometimes muddy sounding.I think they played very well despite those things.
Hands down the WORST crowd I have ever experienced at a concert. I am 42 and I've seen many shows of all sorts. Most people at this concert stood still during the songs, with their arms crossed. No joke.
In Boston, Eddie and Dave jumped around and ran all over the stage because the crowd was into it. In Manchester, Eddie jumped only ONE single time during the entire show -- at the end. He didn't run across the stage once. If I were him, I would have pissed on the crowd.
show wasn't that good. the sound quality was terrible and you couldn't hear half the things he was singing...even though he didn't sing half the songs.
well guess what bub my friend got to go backstaage with van halen at this concert for the after party. And then van halen gave him his guitar and he played there.... so beat that

Vast social commentary about the US based on a Van Halen concert? Are you serious?
