Those of you criticizing Michael don't know ALL the crap Madonna said over the years about him PRIOR to this. So I would stop calling him cruel or mean when you don't know the whole story. I have followed everything about him over the years..not a new fan. I have also read all the stuff she has said over the years.

I think there were a lot of good and bad sparks between them; both incredibly talented, but it seems they were very different people who just didnt "click"..most powerful people of the same caliber tend to be in competition with eachother, but fair play to M, she understood his suffering and supported him.
She knew he was the only other person on the planet who was more or less equal to her in record sales, winning awards and changing society through music and style..she was defending her king.

@Auringonlasku97 They're both entirely different personalities, he's like a child (i mean that in the most positive way, in fact maybe more grownups should let the "child" out in them more often) and Madonna is all about changing, transformation, the future, not looking back, and a bit of a feminist and always in charge. Maybe her personality was intimidating to him, but that doesnt change the fact that its obvious Madonna has the upmost respect for him, always had & always will.

Michael never said he hated Madonna or anything. He said she was jealous of him. Although that's probably not true, that's the way Michael thought. He always thought someone was out to get him. He even thought someone was going to kill him for his music catalog. Madonna obviously doesn't seem like the type to be jealous of anyone. Of course she has always defended Michael. Always. Even when those like Cher and others dissed him, Madonna always defended him. It got very little press because the press didn't want to here anything good about him. There is a lot more out there of her defending him. They truly were the King and Queen of Pop. I think there were a lot of good and bad sparks between them; both incredibly talented, but it seems they were very different people who just didnt "click"..most powerful people of the same caliber tend to be in competition with eachother, but fair play to M, she understood his suffering and supported him.
She knew he was the only other person on the planet who was more or less equal to her in record sales, winning awards and changing society through music and style..she was defending her king.

I appreciate that she defended him, her eulogy/tribute was very moving and lovely. She has, however said some nasty things about him in the past and that is probably what hurt MJ & whatever else she did. I remember there was a time when she seemed a bit obsessed or something b/c she would mention him in so many interviews. At any rate, her words seem a bit prophetic now as ABC pretty much fired Bashir and his ratings at MSNBC are not good, not to mentions his latest idiocy. Not a popular guy

Michael never said he hated Madonna or anything. He said she was jealous of him. Although that's probably not true, that's the way Michael thought. He always thought someone was out to get him. He even thought someone was going to kill him for his music catalog. Madonna obviously doesn't seem like the type to be jealous of anyone. Especially MJ, considering how he became a staple for jokes and insults. But that doesn't make him a bad person. I guarantee you he respected Madonna as an artist.

His last album, which Sony did not promote at all, still did well considering in 2001. He continued to work on music after and IF his *GLORY DAYS* were over, why was he able to sell out 10 concerts in minutes for the O2 Arena and then 40 more in less than an hour, crashing the site w/many disappointed?? He sold those tickets faster than ANYONE in history !! FACT.

Of course she has always defended Michael. Always. Even when those like Cher and others dissed him, Madonna always defended him. It got very little press because the press didn't want to here anything good about him. There is a lot more out there of her defending him. They truly were the King and Queen of Pop. @Razmataz108040 :I know that there happened things which weren´t good,but after all we can´t know,if MJ was always 100% a saint,you know what I mean?I´m a very huge fan of him and god knows it,but I don´t glorify him all day long.That´s btw. not even what he´d want!It´s just a thorn in my heart that people just don´t seem to stop putting her in a bad light now,after all she defended him(several times btw.)and made a wonderful tribute,so what´s so wrong about her?I won´t jump on that bandwagon.

Michael wasn't a saint, nobody is. Whatever Madonna did to defend him or whatever she did for a tribute to him, that is good for her. I just don't like her, musically & personally. Sorry x
