yes it's possible.. in the original game itself you can only play the mapsize 16 with bots and friends.. (i think it's called coop instead of conquest) but there is a mod out there, where you can play with up to 64 bots and your friends on the big maps... try google to find it, i don't have any time to make a tutorial atm, sorry!

naja also wenn du jetzt nen stunt server lokal im netzwerk machst empfiehlt sichs den dedicatet zu nutzen damit du nichts am original ändern musst, und so noch im inet zocken kannst.. weil wenn du einmal in den maps rumschraubst, die du auch benutzt um im internet zu zocken kannstes knicken ;)

I have a problem

I did exacly what you did.

But when i try to login it says:

rcon: Authentication failed

Should i try other passwords or what whould i do? =(

This tutorial is for LAN- and dedicatet online/offline servers only, so the demos will be saved on the hard drive of the host. I don't know how it works on a online (ranked) server, I think you will have to enter a "DemoDownloadUrl" where the files get saved and can be downloaded. For Example a root server. please tell me more about your problem.

war nur, weil die records von den servern schon gelöscht wurden, ich hab da net aufs datum geschaut, die waren schon n halbes jahr alt^^ klar dass die das löschen. bei neuen servern gehts

How do you disable player names?

go to: EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2

and make a backup of your "GameLogicInit.con".

Open "GameLogicInit.con" with editor and write following line to the end of this file:

renderer.drawnametags 0

Then save it.

NOTE!!! When you play online, please put the original file back to the mods\bf2 folder, or you get kicked for using modified data!!!

A Better way is, when you open your .bf2demo files with Battledirector, then you only have to press play, everything else will be done automatically.

Ahhh sorry, I forget to say, that it is just for Battlefield 2, I don't know how to fix that for BF2142.

no its ok i found out how its just on vista u need to press the "compatibility files" to view them and by the wai thanks.and u dont need to write rcon blablabla just write demo.recorddemo (name) and enter
