And still, you focus the story on the characters, this is how science-fiction should be done!! The story is very interesting and promising... are you planning a second part of the story? ;)

Low budget works well here because the audience has to fill in the gaps - you get the impression that this cave was humanity's last stand against the disaster that stripped away the atmosphere and blasted the surface flat.
A few more like that and hollywood producers will be seeking you out rather than the other way round.

Do you call the aliens Bob and Tom....or give it away and call them Rgkjlgvuj-cluck? In a video do you let them have earth accents? Here you deal with the revelation of the face very well.

On rewatch, it actually goes away earlier, when it is revealed that these people do not do pre-mission briefings.
