Nightwish was nominated year 2000 but unfortunately the finnish grannies who have hearing problem voted them out. Nightwish hasnt participated since. Neither have any other good rock or metal band.

I don't think they will be allowed since a band can't be too successful in the rules or something like that. But ya the song that was voted by Finland in Eurovision 2000 was complete crap, and that point Finland was known for the worst record until Lordi changed it.

Actually band can be multimillion selling one. Like Patricia Kaas for france. Nightwish actually won the peoples vote by landslide but theres "eurovision board" that turned the vote. When Lordi got trought it was new rules and people vote decided. Now they turned it back to old system.

We had passionworks and turunen in finnish finals but something hapened again and we got waldo there finishing at last place.
