  • How many legends can you have on one stage?!

  • MICK RONSON, not Ian Hunter.

  • Too bad nobody talks about Ronson having died 2 days after this concert.

  • @jaytduce this concert was in 92, mick died in spring 93.

  • come back to the music world mr.bowie you are truelly missed.great seeing ronno again what a musician loved him.

  • WTF...No Ian Hunter?

  • yeah, ian hunter is not in this one -- better change the title.

  • Where the hell is Ian Hunter?

  • Historic moment.

  • Ronson was good - but don't miss out on the bass playing.

  • Rono 10/10 R.I.P.

  • I think that this is the best live version of "HEROES"

    Great performance!

  • I heard Ronson was starting to lose his fight with cancer at the time of this concert and that he had lost a lot of weight. Who can verify this.

  • @MelonHeadFilmz yes you are correct, mick died april 29,1993 just almost one year later, he was very sick during this concert and ian hunter was the only one who knew and promised his old friend he would remain silent, mick did not want any of the spotlight on him during this concert, god i miss him

  • Hey! if your a fan of this type of music, why not check out my bands myspace page and let us know what you think

    (without spaces)

    thanks

  • defenative version of Heros

  • You're no Freddie Mercury, you're not.

  • David e Mick....erano perfetti insieme!

  • Mick Ronson Was the dogs Bollox

  • I never heard of Mick Ronson but i must say he's certainly good

  • Mick Ronson is the hero

  • God bless Ronno!

  • It's Mick Ronson performing this with Bowie and Queen, not Ian Hunter.

  • Who's on the bass?

  • John Deacon of Queen

  • MICK RONSON R.I.P :(

  • Mick Ronson was flawless in this unrehearsed performance,as were all the others in this song. May he rest in peace!! One of the most talented ever.

  • i didn't knwo this was unrehearsed, taht's amazing

  • Ronson played with Bowie and Hunter for years....why rehearse? IMO..he and Hunter had better mojo.

  • Where did you read that this was unrehearsed?

  • Unrehearsed?

  • great

  • i agree with you, the best version of heroes i've heard! love the buid up intro, classic song! rip freddie and mick.

  • The best version of 'Heroes'that I ever seen!

  • Fantastic! I Love this music...the best...ROCKS!

  • Thanks for posting this. I had only seen this when it was originally broadcast but I have always remembered how truly inspired Mick Ronson's playing was. Seeing and hearing it again just gives me the chills.

  • mick ronson..what a hero!!

  • Mick Ronson died of liver cancer in april 93. Get this months classic rock magazine for a touching article about Mick. Christ he was good and i've never heard a better version of this song, love the battered old telecaster, a real guitarists guitar lol

  • how did mick ronson die?

  • john deacon is one of the greatest bass players ever. he is like john paul jones in that he never feels the need to dominate the performance and never misses a note.

mick ronson is sick. bowie was best when playing with mick and earl slick, too.

  • yea Deacon is the bass god ;)

  • I play bass and Deacon is absolutely top draw. It shows in all of Queens live performances

  • whats that thing that hunters got in his right hand?

  • That's actually Mick Ronson - Hunter's not in this clip. The thing he's got in his right hand is called an EBow.

  • It's a hand-held sustainer -- like an Ebow.

  • Ronson was simply phenomenal in his rendition of an already sublime song.

  • and he looked so good here...he was by far the most underrated guitarest of the "golden age" of R&R...his melodic leads during verse's was amazing...he was like a second singer with guitar..and the emotion...well..genius...

  • agreed

  • AWESOME!!!

  • I adore David Bowie...this song and performance is brilliant!!!

  • Make sure you watch the prayer by David Bowie that follows immediately after this,

  • R.I.P KING MERCURY you are my Hero

    Queen Love

    Thank you for Sharing this

    They All ROCK

  • mick ronson!!!!!! it's ironic because this is probably his last performance.

  • my favorite performance of this song!

  • the performance is spotless, they re all gods

  • dude, that is not Ian Hunter but Mick Ronson!

  • I wouldn't say it was "sanctimonious"! C'mon! Bowie is a fucking genius! I wish I could see that: does anybody have the "performance" right after this video? PLEASE???

  • there was a really weird sanctimonious prayer that Bowie did before this--do you have that on video? it was pretty classic.

  • It was right after and I found it deeply moving.

No-one with a sanctimonious heart would pray for AIDS victims like that.

  • pretty good

  • Ian hunter sang all the young dudes just before this..

  • This was the tribute concert to Freddie Mercury after his dead, in 1992.

  • Heroes is one of my favorites, here played by three of my favorites similar... Johoo! But I prefer the german version, the lyrics have even more temperature...

  • That's not Ian Hunter it's Mick Ronson.

But great find I love this song.

  • Av changed it

  • This is not from Live Aid

  • just plain awsome
