  • aww ty....yeah that first pic is my fave....she was my first baby...and she just loved to climb on hubby and hang from his arms ...she was named "Baby" ...she was released in August 2007 ....she taught me alot that sweetie..rescued weighing 112gms...released weighing 1.5kg...its such rewarding work....and just the best karma!!

  • Actually we started doing it in april 2007 and all animals except the koala was in our care..there are times we stand back and go WOW...we nearly have a mini zoo...lol...My wife fivegurl is very dedicated as am i ...we research every animal that comes into care....and ensure and provide them with whatever they need...Ty for your beautiful comments

  • three people have died in brisbane from the lyssa virus at the time it was called equine morbiylvirus then it was called hendra virus and now that very first outbreak was discovered to be lyssa virus, I just people to be aware that these animals do carry lifethreatening virus to humans and the upmost care should vbe taken when handling these critters

  • Its the lack of education in australia about the dangers of handling flying foxes this virus is real it has killed people I myself think the young flying foxes are adorable but are best left to the carers with the appropriate training and vaccinations cheers....

  • Yeah there is never a dull moment mate..... good karma i call it..lol...and that pic of the pinkie possum is cute hey..she was orphaned little brush-tail possum ( mother killed on road) i rescued after a member of public stopped to check mums pouch she then called me and so.."Dolly"(that's her name) was found weighing...68grams... 3hr feeds for first few months...she now weighs 249grams and is lapping milk,eating fruit and eucalyptus leaves, seeds and wild flowers.
