just realised how many times i posted that message, apologies, was getting a failed message each time this end of the wires, wasnt being intentionally pushy :)
thanks a lot for the details my friend, should be able to get details from hashtagging your suggestions, then amazon bound for i. thanks again.
hi, i was wondering if you happen to know the details of a range of basic rpg/multioptional outcome(pick an option=go to page #) that were popular(in the uk at least) in the early to mid 80s? i would love to become reaquainted with them, a great pleasure as i recall.
@polymusoph I know that TSR, the creators of D&D, had some. The company even had a UK branch at one time. But I'm not aware of any specific titles. Have you done a search on Amazon UK for 'pick-you-own-adventure'?

And just when I began to really hate all the little and not-so-little game-mechanic-faults of 3.5 (and Pathfinder still has some of them), I saw this video... thanks! I immediately bought it even if I don't have a clue if I'll ever find people interested in playing Fantasy Craft. But if I ever start another Adventure Path again, although it will be an awful lot of converting, it will be with this system.
Played this yesterday. The DM has to completely make up the whole storie including scenarios and situations. Also you will need alot of different kinds of dice, including a 4 sided one as well I think.
@alokov I personally think that PF would be a better fit as it is closer to D&D. FC has some awesome ideas. But it might require a lot of work to fit into the FR. What region are you considering? I have used Cormyr & Sembia before.
@tetsubo57 I like Cormyr and Amn and Thay (cause who doesn't love Thay). Probably gonna be Thy except that one of the other people in my group is running a Chelaxian PF game and they're kinda similar. I don't know that much about many of the regions so I'd have to read the setting book more thoroughly.

do you think this would be a good fit for the Forgotten Realms or would Pathfinder be better for that?

When you were listing the feats I was half hoping you'd slip "red feats, blue feats" in there as a joke

@RadicalAns You appear to be more clever than I am. :)

Man.....when do you get time to play all these RPG's?
thejohnmithredux 1 year ago
@thejohnmithredux I don't. :) I get time to read them. I'm rather good at game mechanics after all of these years. :)

@tetsubo57 You should be able to write one yourself now.

@thejohnmithredux That takes work. :)

@tetsubo57 Work that would no doubt pay off.
