I tend to see it that it's ALWAYS God when there's a miracle, whether by a doctor, or not and it's ALWAYS God's fault and he's cruel when the miracle they're looking for doesn't come. God works through individuals 99.9% of the time.

God didn't call prophets for no reason. If he was going to intervene in person he would never call prophets, apostles, etc. You took my comment completely out of content. It's so that educators & intellectuals can have their own opinions without being trounced by those who know better on a different level. I specifically said I can't give you proof of God, nor can you prove there isn't one. To argue over evidence of either side is silly when there will never be proof of either, at least, physical proof. The evidence lies in the intricacy of life. please remember this: no one is born believing in god. they have to be taught. your side of this argument has to convince the rest of the world of two things:
1) there is a god
2) you know which of the hundreds of thousands of gods is the right one
absence of evidence is evidence of absence.
it's your responsibility to convince me, not the other way around. all i can say is that all of the evidence for a creator AND for the religions i've heard of is crap.

You can't reasonably say they've ALL been brainwashed, it doesn't hold up statistically or otherwise. at one point the majority of people probably thought the world was flat. if someone had asked them to provide evidence, they should have realized that they had no reason to believe the world was flat.

But since you're right that I DO have a responsibility, albeit NOT to convince you, but to show you and allow yourself to determine what is truth and what is not. My evidence is mostly personal. Besides everything around me (earth in general) I've had otherwise unexplainable events in my life. Coincidence and randomness don't play any part, it wasn't a timing thing. These things are miraculous and soul shaking (in a good way). Each believer has his/her own story of how and why.
