  • That man just gets me all sorts of hot and bothered....love this show and cannot wait for the new season!

  • This scene is not on season 2. What a disappointment!

  • justified always has the best promos

  • Timothy is the new Clint Eastwood.

    I mean that.

  • This would'nt be cool if you haven't seen Star Wars!

  • cool dialougue.

  • This teaer is misleading. What really happens is they both get in a heated arguement over who shot first, then which star wars movie was better (VI or IV), then it's about which character is the biggest badass, and finall what really happened to Boba Fett.

Well, that last arguement wan't too long. Once the other guy started talking about the expanded universe, Rayland up and shot him.

  • Woohoo Can't wait for Season 3.

Maybe we can wrap up the Boyd & Arlo problem.

  • in all the justified promo cuts they never use the scenes from the show its also like the do u feel lucky punk one in the other promo they do

  • I like that they just created a brand new scene for the trailer as opposed to using something from the (at the time) upcoming season. This way it takes nothing away from any scenes from the actual show when viewed.

  • where the hell is this scene in season 2?

  • @ime239, I was actually coming back her to say the same thing. Unless I somehow missed it, this isn't in season 2. So I'm assuming they cut this scene for whatever reason (I suppose it does become difficult to believe if he gets away with too many suspicious shootings) or if this was always just a promo and they had no intention of using it.

  • @ime239

it's not. that's what makes it so great

  • Seems like a good show.

    A nice cult reference.

Heck, it even looks the part.

  • Got to love Raylan & how come he knows so much about Star Wars? never mind great quote & scene - Tim. Olyphant owns the character completely!

  • @jennyk1977 A bad ass cool guy like Raylan knows he has to respect another bad ass cool guy like Han

  • the shield, sons of anarchy and justified are definitely the three best shows fx has done

  • Gotta love it :)

  • That is awesome as shit! I still need to finish the first season lol

  • Raylan Shot first!!

  • He doesn't seem like Star wars nerd type.

  • @hungryhungrymetroid THAT'S WHY IT'S AWESOME.

  • @SSVCloud I agree, I just think it's funny because that's something even a lot of casual star wars fans might not know about.

  • @hungryhungrymetroid The only way I knew it was because Kevin Smith put a lot of references to it in his movies. :P

  • This show is the cool of Clint Eastwood, the wit House used to have and dark side of Breaking Bad!

  • @TofuPenguin1 yeah House has fallen off the last few seasons... but hopefully it will pick up its momentum again

  • I'm a guy, and even I think Timothy Oliphant is sexy in this.

  • I had a grin on my face to the end.

  • this guy is the shit

  • I had never even heard of this show until one night prior to the start of Season 2 I saw this commercial. Just based on how cool this was I rented the Season 1 DVD's so I could be ready to watch the season premiere. Now I don't miss an episode. It's my favorite show on TV, Raylan Givens don't mess around.

  • Raylan Givens is the new Chuck Norris.

  • @TheSuirad i'm with you

  • i'd love if coens make a movie of justified..!

  • Idk about y'all but Boyd plays a perfect role in this too!

  • did this happen in the first three episodeS? because i don't remember it

  • Nope, it's just a promo.

  • @bjchit too bad...

  • Is tha a real song that starts at 0:27 and if so what's the name of it??

  • @hotflames96 i doubt it.

  • Loved the T.V. Spot. Yes Han fired first. They change it later. To make it more Political correct.

  • what song starts att 0:27??

  • Know what this reminds me of? Family Guy. Right? "No man, Han ALWAYS shoots first." LOL, I love Justified. And Timothy Olyphant. He's like the next Mark Harmon, just a natural badass. How funny would NCIS be with Raylan Givens as head of the team, huh?

  • This commercial was why I started watching. It was awesome, possibly the best commercial I've ever seen for a TV series. Loved his story about gasoline vapors with the bad guy in the last episode too. I hope they have clever moments like these in every episode.

  • Timothy Olyphant is like my favorite fucking actor ever he is so awesome badass funny and when wants too he will fuck your day and make it better this guy is awesome!

  • That's awesome I would so say that to someone

  • Chuck Norris wishes he could pull off the kind of bad ass Timothy can. No years of martial arts practice needed.

  • Only Timothy Olyphant can pull off a Star Wars reference and still be a badass

  • I think the point everyone is missing is that Raylan, much like the some of the sleazebags he puts away, likes to find loopholes that 'Justify' his actions. But ultimately he upholds the law, and that by definition, makes him a good guy.

Personally, I think the whole show is just excellent: good plot lines, well acted characters, and most importantly, they actually got the accents right. Being from that part of the country, most 'southern accents' you hear on TV make me cringe.

  • @solidstatemind Like the True Blood accents xd

  • I swear, I've never seen this show, but just seeing this trailer... really makes me want to. For one, the trailer is really clever, and the show looks pretty fantastic xD

  • Has anyone found the trailer that was aired during the Super Bowl?

It shows Raylan Givens in a grocery store standoff...I was watching the game in a crowded bar and couldn't understand a dang thing.

    It looked cool though...

  • actually Han was the only one that fired a shot in the original.

  • This guy kind of looks like John Marston from Red Dead Redemption

  • I love this spot soooo much LOL

  • Wow, I bet the writers watched the AVGN's review on Star Wars when he explains who shot first.

  • @letsride84 just about everyone knows Han shot first and I would be surprised if they even knew who AVGN was

  • Isn't that the porno hall of fame?

  • @bjchit AVGN = Angry Video Game Nerd, AVN = Adult Video News aka Oscars of pon

  • @bjchit I already replied to you about this

  • Yea, I saw. I didn't say anything back.

  • @bjchit weird I got a message saying you did

  • Google's been a POS lately.

  • Anyone have an idea as to what the song is at the very end? I've heard it on a couple trailers for the new season, and I'm really hoping it's an actual song and not one created just for the promo. Any help?

  • @amongsttrees God's Gonna Cut You Down by Johnny Cash

  • ...So is Boyd Chewbacca then?

  • Comment removed

  • Never seen the show, but after this commercial, I think I'll have to catch up with Season 1, and get into this Season 2. Modern day 'gun-slinger'?

  • Raylan Givens: Modern-Day Dirty Harry

  • Excellent

  • Saw this just moments ago, love the show and thought this was awesome!

  • he's a american jedi

  • hehe.

  • have you guys seen the other one? where he goes the phrase is die trying.? im actually looking for that one, so if anybody has it up or has seen it, a link would be nice

  • @dudeball2002

yeah it has a camera angle facing upward like someone look up that was shot.

I guess that what they mean or die trying.

  • did you know that in fact he was the only one to shoot,Look at the original version, greedo never fires a single shot

  • just saw a slightly different version, where towards the end he says "guess they thought the bad guy should shoot first" anyone else see it?

  • @rosniper18 I saw the longer version and also two other really cool Justified promos while watching Ghost Rider on FX this past Saturday afternoon.

  • 1 person thought Greedo shot first...

  • I LOVE this show. This show is the one thing that makes me jump up and down in anticipation like a little girl.

  • Awesome commercial!

  • yessss one more weekkkk

  • this show is what inspired me to want to become a marshal wish me luck

  • @marshalsteve213 Good luck! Wish you the best.

  • yeahh know what this reminds me of star wars freakin awesome!!!!!

  • This is why I love "Justified." Raylan is just a cool character. Plus, it's nice to have a crime drama on TV where the lead cop character is both a good, honest guy and likable.

  • @MikeAM78 You think Raylan is good and honest? Obviously we're not watching the same show.

    He is a badass, though.

  • @P0ko4Sh0 How so? I mean, he's not corrupt, planting drugs on people just so he can bust them and stuff like that. He may not be a saint, but he's definitely one of the good guys. Unlike, say, Vic Mackey on "The Shield," I would actually trust Raylan with my back.

  • @MikeAM78 He is deceptive and does things the way he wants, without regard to the consequences.

He basically, takes the law into his own hands. Yeah, I'd trust him with my back...he's an asskicker 100%.

But that doesn't make him a good guy. Besides, we know he got kicked out of Florida for some kind of shooting that's being looked into. I personally, think, knowing how Raylan is, he did the guy in on purpose.

  • @P0ko4Sh0 I guess you could view that kind of stuff as not being a good guy. The Florida shooting was in the very first episode, in case you didn't see it, and he killed a drug dealer after he pulled his gun on him first. The investigation is into whether or not he lured the guy into pulling first. Personally, I see him as a good guy the same way I see, say, Dirty Harry as a good guy: his methods might be a bit unorthodox, but at the end of the day he's on the side of upholding the law.

  • @MikeAM78 dude ur right.... he is the perfect illustration of cool

  • @MikeAM78 and a total BADASS

  • @MikeAM78 a good honest guy and likeable; sounds like Henriksen's role,Frank Black, in Millennium

  • It's a cool allusion, but I'm not sure I buy that Raylon would have even this low level of Star Wars knowledge. At least he didn't know Greedo's name. And do we really need to force geek lore into every show? The only thing he should know about Star Wars is that it's a movie and that Leia was smoking hot in the bikini because as a kid he was too busy sneaking the smokes and drinking the beers he stole out of his dad's busted up Chevy.

  • @jeffhotchkiss

I've only seen star wars once or twice when I was a Kid (don't hold it against me), didn't like them that much, and yet EVEN I knew that Han Shot First.

  • @jeffhotchkiss Didn't occur to you that, as always, Raylan was underplaying his hand when he refers to 'that green fellow'? Star Wars was a MASSIVE part of cinema history, in terms of it's (entirely unexpected) runaway box office success, it entirely stands to reason that Raylan would have been aware of it, he'd have been the right age to have seen it in '77. Plus, there are a number of Western influences in Star Wars, so again, it's entirely plausible he'd have been interested for that reason.

  • @jeffhotchkiss Additionally, we already know that popular culture isn't alien to Raylan, he used to watch Rawhide and Have Gun Will Travel, he said so himself. Furthermore, if there's one thing about Star Wars that would pique Raylan's interest, it would be the cantina scene and the controversy surrounding the fact that the 'hero' shoots first.

  • @Fray15 You know, that's a good point. Though he could've referenced himself from the pilot. :D

  • @jeffhotchkiss Haha, now that would've been odd.... :)

  • Been looking for this ever since it aired during the first ep of "Lights Out". This is why I love Justified!
