These are abused children. Both in the schools and in DPS. We have all been abused by the racism in the city of Detroit since blacks moved up here in the 30's . That's how Detroit became segregated in the first place.

Actually it became segregated because of "white flight". As the blacks moved in all the negative things that follow (crime, poor schools, drugs) started to increase. As these started to increase - white people started to move. More blacks moved in to replace them accelerating the process until 99% white communities became 99% black. And now, you can cleary see the results.

mejean: yes, you're right. Although there's plenty of blame for the Teacher's Union, ignorant parents, and political pressure groups that care more about their agenda than the kids, the untold story is that the children of the underclass are virtually unsalvagable.

Many of these kids were born to drug/alcohol addled mothers and were severely deprived (nutritionally/emotinoally) as infants. There just isn't much there to work with once the school system gets them.
