I downloaded this game already, multiplayer is really hard. A ton of people will give you a kick in the face as soon as you come out of the hangar. That's why you want to be the first in each server.

I hate how they updated it so you cant punch out, you have to power down and get out. Its not like i used mechs in arena mode anyway! I usually just use BA, but WOO!! Duncan Fisher is back!

This conversion rocks. I bought Crysis Warhead just for this conversion and I am so glad that I did. It's not only a beautifully crafted conversion, it also plays like the original Mechwarrior games.

Ever since getting it over the weekend, I have been able to play (on US servers) every time I have tried. It is really awesome and worth getting Crysis Warhead to play it.

Nope, looooong way from final (hence 0.5.0). Single-player campaigns are not really possible with our game in CryEngine as the AI simply cannot (and I do mean can not, as opposed to will not) recognize our vehicles and mechs. Unless Crytek ever decides to donate the source code to us, it sadly isn't possible.

I played the very first one on DOS to 4. If anything, the animations should be more like 3 (considered the best mechwarrior btw). Mechs should move like mechs, not pimp walk like humans.

Face it, it was a cheap solution at the time, the joint articulation wasn't good, mechs often seem wafting over the ground playing leg animations just for kicks. The animation was visibly constrained and too stiff. Skeletal animation wasn't nearly enough. And the only thing that gave the feeling of weighе was the loud 'thomp thomp thomp'

@Patriotj81 In MW4, the anims were done the hard way, by hand. And it shows. Better feeling of weight (yes) through proper hip sway, the best circular joint articulation I've seen up to the present day.

I loved how the mechs started to take cues from actual living things. Not only anthropomorphic like Atlas or hellspawn, but animals as well. Catapult has a proper cat prowl to it, for example. Of course, there was a lot of ornitological cues.

I dunno what's your real gripe with mw4 is (probably straying from cbt rules, which was actually a good thing), but what it doesn't do is look and feel cartoony. MW4 was the first battletech game that screamed MILITARY in each and every way.

MW3 had it's own problems with environment, though - most of the time it felt completely desolated. MW4, on the other hand, while not offering a whole fucking lot - felt a lot more alive.

@NosferatuAaacaado I agree- I REALLY enjoyed the art direction on MechWarrior 4 (and MechAssault) so far as Battlemech design went. The heavier, bulkier designs spoke volumes for actual feasible design over some of the spindly 'sports cars' looks they went for pre-MW4 and in the source books.

1.) Satisfy player demand for a status on our progress while,

2.) allowing us to find major bugs while we refine various elements of the game.

TL:DR - the game is far from finished and what you see - while all in-game footage - does not necessarily represent the final intended AAA-grade product.
