  • I don't think comments should be hidden if they are voted down. Just because a lot of people disagree with an opinion, doesn't make it invalid. A conscientious individual should be interested to hear all sides of a debate.

  • Sainthood please!

  • i AM 100% BEHIND EWTN !

  • Life sux, live fast! Die YOung!!

  • now I come to understand 1 Corinthians 2: 6 – 10

  • What will an individual do when he sees only too clearly why his brother is ill; when he sees that he has no love, but only instinct; no faith, because he is afraid to grope in the dark; no hope, because he is disillusioned by the world and by life; and no understanding, because he has failed to read the meaning of his own existence?

  • who is this? the christian carl sagan?

  • @Bizzer10 Carl Sagan..just discovering who this man is. So far so good :-)

  • Did he really seduce the young Merv Griffin?

  • hey GabeLogin....will you please be able to post some other videos for Fulton J. Sheen...

  • very nice video...thanks to you for posting it...i add it to my list i hope this is fine with you

  • Oh, Bishop Sheen, "the good and faithful servant." So brilliant, so human, and so right!... and your "script writers" Matthew, Mark, Luke and John...nothing more needs to be said.

  • Life is worth LOSING !! - George Carlin

  • I've heard about Arch.Fulton J sheen when our parish priest preach in the church referring him as one of the great orators. Now here I see the oratorical skill which is something you can't scale. It's so good.

  • I needed this tonight :-)

  • @jungian9111 Classy leaving all those things on my page. What is with you? I didn't do anything. Trust me lady, you need a lot more than this.

  • don't take yourself so seriously.. good advice from a very groovy man..

  • @vinyl45s4ever If you think Religion is the same as Tooth Fairy tale,..then you are far away from becoming "PC proficient"

  • @GabeLogin Yeah no one got shot because of the tooth fairy.

  • @mwells219 people got shot out of love.... some people shoot their ex's new boyfriends.... now let me see you go and cry about relationships!

  • @GabeLogin it depends on how you interpret a fairy tale... to me, it's a correct statement, because as long as it works, no-one will complain and in the end, everything is allowed.

  • @vinyl45s4ever I'd like to see the Tooth Fairy have her own line of canon scripture written 30 years after she had revealed her greatest miracle that has survived unto this day.

Oh, wait, only Jesus has such a thing. ^.^

  • @vinyl45s4ever We are all in search of truth. The key is to make an HONEST effort to find it. It is human nature to question religion. But bashing religion only serves to distract YOU from your own personal quest for truth. Faith gives us hope and strength to love and be joyous. I can say from personal experience that God is real. But you must find your own way…the Truth is not afraid of your questions—the question is: are YOU afraid of the Truth? God bless you on your quest.

  • @ll93111 well said and so true

  • Am I the only one who thinks this guy looks like Count Dracula?

  • @vinyl45s4ever ...you might be the only one who thinks that it actually matters what he looks like ...most people (i believe) already know what he "looked" like so they come here for a different reason...they (like me) are interested in what he said...perhaps its just maturity

  • For any human being to feel so important as to think that in all this vast Universe, there is a Creator who looks at MEEEE and loves MEEEE and wants MEEEE to live eternally in Heaven is the ultimate in ARROGANCE! To think God needs or even wants our worship makes God a small, shallow and needy person. The idea that we are the only living things destined to live eternally is arrogant and selfish. We are NOTHING, yet YOU insist YOU are wonderful. Be ashamed of your self-importance!

  • @vinyl45s4ever if you watch the whole episode, you will see that will tackle some of your points. I don't see how humans wanting to go to Heaven is selfish. It is the ultimate goal of the Human life. Perhaps it is not the place of the other "Living things". We are not NOTHING,..although you can say that if that would make you humble, which it doesn't seem so. We are created in the image and likeness of God. If that is nothing to you, then it is something to others.

  • @vinyl45s4ever We are at least important enough That Jesus Christ came down from Heaven to save us from our Sins.

  • @GabeLogin Only according to the men who fed us those lies and then shamelessly profited from the gullibility of the masses who believed it.

Religion is a FRAUD. We all die and stay dead. Only the foolish and the greedy can't handle the reality of life and death. Hell and heaven are clever tricks devised to keep the stupid in line. One good life is plenty, unless you're brainwashed, greedy or both.

  • @vinyl45s4ever it sucks to feel what you feel. Die and cease to exist!!! what an awful thought. Hell and Heaven are a consequence of how good or how bad while you are alive. Didn't you have enough of this life already? why are you being greedy and selfish? after all, you do breathe the air others breathe and you have your own consumption of different kind of energies. Don't you think it is time for you to step aside and stop being greedy? :P

  • @GabeLogin Why do you guys always have to insist you know what WE FEEL, and what WE THINK? WE don't believe in ghosts. Is THAT what irks you? We don't talk to ourselves (and call it PRAYER), does that make you mad?

WE are happy, good natured and contributing human beings. Can YOU say the same? Why is this a contest for you? Why are you so intimidated? WE have no superstitions, and it seems to eat you up. WHY?

WE don't believe in your silly religious crap. That is NO tragedy! Or is it?

  • @vinyl45s4ever Friend, it doesn't make a particle of difference to me what you believe. What you are saying here doesn't cause any part of me to eat my self up. There is no contest here, (Of what?) but I was just using your "thought process" to determine how an individual like you might think especially regarding your take on 'greed and selfishness' in this life. And Religious people are not happy, good natured, and contributing human beings?

  • @vinyl45s4ever Why can't people just have respect for one another..this is the "real" problem. Foundations of hate are built on non value, not by "religions!"

  • @jungian9111Why don't you try killing yourself...again. This time I wish you luck. ;)

  • @TheFaustianMan Sorry faust, after months of trolling the consequences are showing up as mistrust. Although I'm still angry over you people doing this me...I owe you an apology for behaving badly when I found out Billy died. It sickens me I can't trust anyone.

  • @TheFaustianMan *slaps*

It is people like you that give your atheism such a bad name. It is little wonder Christians demonise atheists when they act like this.

It could also prove my premise that atheism at its roots really has no moral compass an will one day descend into anarchic chaos.

  • @GenghisKhan44

    GenghisKhan44,

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Life's too sweet to take a sip of the hater-aid. Relax. Who said I was an atheist? However, you shouldn't be so quick to judge.

    Oh and KABLOCK!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheFaustianMan I'll tell you why. In my experience it was mostly atheist trolls who tell a Christian or someone seeking peace to go kill themselves and wish them success. That comes off as troll and uncaring. Very bad form. Very, very bad form.

  • @GenghisKhan44 You don't understand, I upset him first, and it was my fault not his.

  • @jungian9111 Oh. I see.

    Well, that wasn't very nice.

But what he said in response was not either.

  • @GenghisKhan44 ....All individuals have a nature that is not easily tamed :-)

The clergyman stands before a vast horizon. but it would seem if no one noticed it. It also looks as though the Protestant clergyman of today were insufficiently equipped to cope with the urgent psychic needs of our age......Carl Jung

It is only meaning that liberates..

  • Ordinary reasonableness, sound human judgment, science as a compendium of common sense, these certainly help us over a good part of the road, but they never take us beyond the frontiers of life's most commonplace realities, beyond the merely average and normal. They afford no answer to the question of psychic suffering and its profound significance. A psychoneurosis must be understood, ultimately, as the suffering of a soul which has not discovered its meaning.

  • All creativeness in the realm of the spirit as well as every psychic advance of man arises from the suffering of the soul, and the cause of the suffering is spiritual stagnation, or psychic sterility.

    Meaning rocks..

  • @jungian9111 Agreed!

I personally believe fanaticism creates most of the violence, death, destruction, and ill will between people. The Crusades, the Soviet bloc persecutions (especially in Albania), the Moslem attacks on Jerusalem and Europe, are the result of fanaticism - NOT religion (the USSR championed atheism and a state cult).

  • @vinyl45s4ever It's quite simple. Belief in God simply brings Hope..hope in an afterlife...hope in eternal peace..hope to be with your dead loved ones again..heck.. If our lives have no meaning..why better yourself ? why give to the poor? what is your motivation? If there isnt even the slightest chance of those 3 things being true..isnt that worth a shot with everything you have.? Lets sat there is no God..your alternative offers nothing but despair.

  • @vinyl45s4ever It's quite simple. Belief in God simply brings Hope ..hope in an afterlife...hope in eternal peace..hope to be with your dead loved ones again..heck.. If our lives have no meaning..why better yourself ? why give to the poor? what is your motivation? If there is even the slightest chance of those 3 things being true..isnt that worth a shot with everything you have? If we are wrong and there is no God, what have we lost?

  • @cmhmp10sd

If there were no God, each of us would lose a great deal, since God is the one who gives man his purpose, his design and his ultimate reward/punishment for the deeds of his life. Man is therefore a meaningless and pointless creature without God.

Don't get me wrong. I agree with most of what you're saying, but everything that a human being is depends on God. God asks for many sacrifices, though, and if he just weren't there, those sacrifices would be all that was left.

  • @mytruepower2

I agree with you. I was just trying to respond to an atheist view that if you are a christian and forsake yourself and your desires that you somehow "miss out" on this world or "not live to your fullest" What have we lost, meaning what have we lost by helping others..we simply lose earthly pleasure, which to our hedonistic society is a big deal.

  • @cmhmp10sd

Yeah. It does seem like a big deal, at first, until you realize that Earthly pleasure can never really satisfy you. Still, atheism robs people of any reason to sacrifice, which is the big reason why it seems to encourage so much barbarity.

  • @mytruepower2 I assure you I've been very satisfied by earthly pleasure. believe me try getting a blowjob and listening to mozart's 9th at the same time. much better than religion.

  • @mwells219 You are much far from the life of Saint Augustine brother. So, conversion is not difficult for you, specially if Jesus wanted to. I'm just praying that one day this will come to your life.

  • @jonlim75 i'm happy as myself without any particular religion. your idea that somehow I will be "saved" is puerile and egotistical. i went to catholic school for 7 years and then found out that people who call themselves "believers" are just as screwed up and morally confused as everyone else on this planet. Then I learned about all the people in history who died because they either refused to convert or because they were duped into being soldiers for your particular imaginary friends.

  • @mwells219 ad hominem

  • @LynchMobster47 it's also true. read a history book.

  • @mwells219 There is a difference between The Pouring out of the Holy Spirit (whirlwind same as when elijah was transported) and Christ's touching down on earth after appearing in the skies for Armageddon.

  • @mbrekable there is only one true resurrection, and there is a Pouring out before Wrath is upon earth. Without the Holy Spirit you are unprepared. Check out book of Joel and when Peter gave prophecy, then book of Joel speaks of "old vines, fig trees, etc. this is explanation of people just like when Paul spoke of "grafting in a olive grove". the rapture is not exactly as it has been misconstrued for around 200 years

  • @mbrekable there is a rapture for the "old vines", yet those who have been asleep in Christ need to be awake hence Book of Joel and what Peter spoke consumed by Holy Spirit. Warning do not be a fig tree that produces no Fruit. read James on that one. yes, the whirlwind will take some up, yet there will be others who have choice to "not toward receiving deliverance in hopes of better resurrection" Hebrews. Remember only one true resurrection and those who are not asleep will surely not preceed

  • @mbrekable preceed those who are asleep, hence laymens terms a partial taking up. And no man knows the day or hour for both. Pouring Out and Christs return, and the Triune God cannot be separated :) Hopefully this sheds light on approx. 200 year old misinterpretation.

  • @mytruepower2 I'm surprised you can say atheism brings on barbarity with no sense of irony. Can you name any barbarity in the name of religion? I bet we could work together and find many times more examples of barbarity in the name of religion than in the name of atheism. That's because religion allows one to believe their personal view is all powerful, whereas an atheist has no choice but to be humble, knowing we are only of man. And btw sacrifice is a joy, its own motivation.

  • @jcisbell

Well, yeah. That can happen. The problem is that atheism is like that to the nth degree, because where organized religion encourages people to believe in the supremacy of a single world view (one which they may not otherwise agree with,) atheism encourages EVERYONE to believe that THEY are supreme in the universe. It's all the arrogance of the worst religions, but none of the order.

Btw, those who think that sacrifice is a joy have never sacrificed.

  • @jcisbell There have been no barbarities due to (any main) religion. Only people pervert particular religions to support their own evil and selfish agendas. Many, if not all values that atheists have come from religion, however with atheism, you are allowed to discard those values at your leisure (i.e. abortion) whereas with religion you cannot (without facing the consequences of course). I hope you try to keep an open mind to religion.

  • @LynchMobster47 I appreciate you taking the time to comment on my post. Having said that, I must point out some mistaken assumptions you make: Atheists DO INDEED live with their choices because they have no choice but to realize that what they do is really and truly their sole responsibility. Most atheists arrive at that difficult place after a lot of thought and so, also know that all choices define who we are - now. And so they make careful choices, not counting on forgiveness. (more)

  • @LynchMobster47 (continuing) If I understand you, you are saying that "religion" causes no "barbarity". That's true in that "religion" is a belief system, which can DO nothing. But religion allows the faithful to believe that their decisions are guided by God and therefore, over and above the decisions of all non-believers. That arrogance fosters the suppression of free thought and equality. The Crusades were carried out by men, but they found their justification within Christianity. (more)

  • @LynchMobster47 You ask that I keep an open mind to religion. You see, that is the arrogance I'm speaking of. You think that because I don't believe, that I have a closed mind. It takes a really open mind in America to become an atheist. You assume you are correct and that is why you feel comfortable telling me I need to keep an open mind. No offense. I know you mean well and thanks. I'm just trying to help you have an open mind too. After all, you believe things you can't prove, not me.

  • @LynchMobster47 Last point, "values" come from empathy and enlightened self-interest and pre-date all religions.

  • @jcisbell But then again, atheists believe things that they cannot prove either. It is impossible to prove the inexistence of an infinite being. Furthermore, I don't want to get into the whole Communism and deaths attributed to atheists, the point is that a belief may allow someone to do something bad just as a weapon may allow someone to do evil, but the weapon (or belief) in and of itself is not bad, the person is. That is why I don't go around saying that all atheists are evil. Furthermore...

  • @LynchMobster47 ....furthermore, when I say keep an open mind, I'm not simply saying you should believe in religion, I'm saying that you should not generalize those who are religious in assuming that they are all arrogant and believe anything at the drop of the hat. There have been many great philosophers and scientists throughout history who believe in God and have struggled with the belief but still kept faith. P.S. Out of curiosity, (and you have every right to) why did you watch this video?

  • @LynchMobster47 I agree with you here, and I never claimed otherwise. I watched this speech because Fulton Sheen was one of the last of a certain generation of "elocutionist" speakers. I wanted to watch his "style".

  • Comment removed

  • @LynchMobster47 Atheists don't have to prove anything. They don't claim there is no God. They reject your baseless claim that there IS a God. However, I'll go one step farther. I WILL prove there is no God. All you have to do is tell me WHAT PROOF you would accept. To end the suspense I'll tell you the outcome of this challenge; there is no proof you would accept. Faith does not require proof. But religious people insist that their belief is "knowledge". It's not. That's all an atheist says.

  • @LynchMobster47 Also, "deaths attributed to atheists? Sure just as there are deaths attributed to Christians. That's not the question. The question is, are there deaths attributed to ATHEISM? And the answer is 'no'. Whereas, religion encourages killing because religious people can possibly believe that they are for sure right and their enemy is wrong. Atheists aren't so sure. Of course there are always exceptions on both sides.

  • @LynchMobster47 This just happened today in response to the idea of the Rapture and, even though this event was not true, if-you-do believe in the Bible and the Rapture, then you must realize this WILL happen again, because of religion: youtubeDOTcom/watch?v=3Vj8-_jhFAA&feature=share

  • @LynchMobster47 You missed my whole point. I said that EVEN THOUGH this "rapture" would turn out to be false, there would someday, according to the Bible, BE a Rapture, right? Well, this same chick who tried to kill her kids would do the exact same thing if it was "the real" Rapture. Therefore, barbarity caused by religion.

  • @mytruepower2 let the believers sacrifice themselves for their imaginary friends. then all that will be left will be the rational people and life will be better for everyone.

  • @mwells219

Yeah. Lennin and many others thought that way too, any yet, their empires couldn't even survive a single century, and the eternal church remains.

Is it rational to learn nothing from history? Hmmm?

  • @vinyl45s4ever you're a crank. ;-)

  • Is it possible to be a "spellbound sinner"?

I want to fully believe, but happen to have a why/how for even reading the Holy Word and am practically skeptical about most everything as it is presented to me.

  • @busterbone Of course! See, Faith is a pure gift from God. We don't one day simply say, "I believe" and with a snap of the fingers, we're magically transformed (this is why there can be so many "Christians" who are rather nasty).

It's common for a person to understand the Faith, but not yet have Faith. Pray to God for Faith, and He will answer, I promise. One day, by the grace of God, we will fall on our knees and say, "Out of the depths have I cried to you, O Lord" (Psalm 130). God bless you!

  • @richgr1123 yeah, I always thought (God's)"grace" is something begotten in Heaven (like everything Holy) not made on here on earth or by mankind. (Christian) "Faith" is similarly a Gift of God and Heaven and although we are unworthy can attain it no matter what. else we have to offer. God Bless you too

  • Doesn't the good Archbishop seem so, well, noble? One can really tell that he was a man with spiritual authority. He speaks with clarity, elegance, and forthrightness. Archbishop Sheen really does deserve the title "Servant of God."

  • You do make me happy, Bishop Sheen!

  • why do want to close the Catholic Church?

and why do think the Catholic Church worships Mary? Can you bring "sound evidence for that argument".........God loves you and Peace be with u

  • I pity you for calling such a wise man of God a fool. The Catholic Church does not teach that the blessed Mother Mary is a Goddess but if that let you indulge more to the Hatred of the Church, then really what you say is naught.

  • Dream on Sir! you and your friends. It is not me who will contradict you, but rather Her founder and Bridegroom - Jesus Christ.

  • Bishop Sheen is great. I'm not really all that religious but I love listening to his take on life.

  • Fellow Christians, There is a "hate crimes bill" S.909 that was devised by the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith in order to criminalize Christianity. Any Good Christian who publicly stands up for traditional marriage or protests the millions of babies murdered by abortion will be thrown in jail like in Canada. Check out truthtellers and watch Rev. Ted Pike's videos explaining the danger and then call your Senators toll free at 877-851-6437 and tell them NO on S.909. Save Our Constitution

  • If anyone wants the prayer for his cannonization or the prayer to attain a favor through his intercession let me know and I will send it to you!

  • yres , please but i do not speek englisch very well (i look at him to improve my language and learn about how to live my life) so if you have in french... i can traduct with google maibe...

    thankyou!

  • Wow, Actually, I'm sure you knew this, but Sheen spoke French as well as he spoke English. I will leave the prayer in your inbox. it is too long to put here. please check out the tribute video I made for him.

  • All of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen's shows looks like they were filmed at Hammer Studios.

  • Peace be upon him.

Whenever he says "God love you!", and he raises his arms, he kinda looks like a vampire.lol I'm sorry.

  • I Know, its the feriola he wears!

  • Love BISHOP!!!! i have his book lol i cant stop reading it

  • which ones. I have "Through the Year with Fulton Sheen" "Life is worth living series one and two" "treasure in Clay" 'The cross and the Bettitudes" and 'The priest is Not his Own".

  • First, keep those alter boys comments to yourself.

Second, he was referring to a psychological technique.

Third, If you are not interested in hearing those thing, then just don't

  • Too short.

  • I like Bishop Sheen! He is very insightful!

  • Where was Archbishop Sheen on Vatican II and the Novus Ordo Missae? I just can't see him saying the Novus Ordo.

  • I also would like to know his stand on this.

  • Obedience.

  • I like him. :) Thanks for uploading this series!

  • Archbishop Fulton Sheen is a ledgend!!!

    thanks for the vid :)

    God Bless

  • and just from which hole you came from please......ok let's start by removing yours

  • I would like to see this documentry that you claim exist, it's authenticity, and the people behind this documentry

  • hahahaha.. u came out the same hole but focused of the wrong people and took in the wrong info.

the jesuits??? u mean the illuminati? the knights templars who were excommincated? u need to conduct more research in your history... everything is linked up when u read between the lines and carefully, but i can tell you that the Holy Catholic Church is one which u can rely on.

  • Embrace the absurd and you realize the truth.

  • Sebreathnach your hatred for christianity and catholicism is particular is really bizarre and bigoted.

Regarding Jesus being Caesar, I guess you'll just have to get in line with the Jews who viewed jesus as a blasphemer, the Muslims who don't think Jesus rose from the dead, those who think Jesus is a myth from pagan religions, those who say Jesus was not man, not God or never existed. But don't forget ye can't all be right!!! Maybe they all had an axe to grind - a bit like you!

  • Okay... You seem to view the world through the lense of hatred. You are the only one hating anyone here, you rationalise it by thinking everyone especially Christians is filled with hatred too. As a Christian, I am in fact full of hope and joy. Why does that irritate you so much? I don't doubt you believe Carotta's 2000 year later speculation but really that doesn't give you a legitimate leg to stand on for your campaign of hatred.

  • It si really wonderful to hear someone who speaks about God, with so much clarity and and depth. Today preaching in our world is at a very low level, we need many holy people to preach the good news again as the first Christians did. Archbishop Sheen did it with tools of his time. John Paul II told him few months before he died: You have written a lot and very well about our Lord, you a good son of the Church. Good epitaph for someone who gave his life for the Church. Santo subito.

  • The 'first Christians' were the soldiers of Julius Caesar and they still are. Why don't Christians take their heads out of the sand and read Francesco Carotta. There is no point in discussing Christianity with people who are genetically incapable of reading anything but the Bible and who don't know or care where it come from or who wrote it...

  • It is funny that he should now quote Oscar Wilde , the Homosexual! People like Oscar Wilde still run from the hate that the Pope through men like Sheen disseminate. He also attacked Rosa Luxemburg and Auguste Comte. August Comte was the founder of Sociology, so, it is easy to see why Sociology , like Darwinian Evolution, has been almost in Catholic countries. So-called Catholic 'universities' reserves social science to ex-priests and nuns.

  • I wonder what he means (eslewhere on You Tube) by 'All our philosophers'. When was there ever an Irish philosopher? That surely must be his best joke

  • Yes he should!

Thank You for posting, we need him more than ever!

    God Bless

  • Bishop Sheen is and should be canonized as a saint...

  • OMGoodness, I love this man.

I wasn't alive to grow up with his show, but I dig the reruns.

@sebreathnach: Bishop Sheen has always been very witty with his jokes, and there's no reason to generalize.

And please, none of this "the Bible is fiction too" poop. People didn't just sit down to make up the stories, they come from a tradition of *human beings* trying to understand their world. Whether we believe or not we should respect that.

  • My priest 40 years ago had a tendancy to joke and laugh when I was an altar boy.

  • I am not exactly sure what you are talking about, but my Catholic parish priest tries to come up with a joke every now and then in the beginning of his sermon.

  • Umberti Eco must have made it up!

  • I hope you realize that "The name of the Rose" is a novel.

A novel is a fiction story

  • Yes,Father! Three bags full, Father!!!

  • So is the Bible!

  • The Church has never been in the least bit suspicious of laughter...in fact, comments which use The Name of the Rose as an authority would probably have the hierarchy rolling in the aisles. BTW - you're completely wrong about Morgan, too - suggest you read the biography.

  • Of course I'm wrong. James Joyce and Dermot Morgan didn't have to quit that bog of a catholic-ridden bogland... But if to day, Sunday 13th April 2008, you will find a group -- maybe 2 dozen -- masked men camped in Middle Abbey Street shouting abuse at the offices of Scientiology. No police are there..They are, of course, Opus Dei-related, and probably know to the Archbishop of Dublin and the Garda Commissioner...

  • LMAO at tinfoil hat conspiracy...assuming you're not a troll.

  • sebreathnach Why does he shout? Because sometimes you have to shout at people to get their attention and listen!!!!!!!

  • I would love to see this man try to argue religion with my friend from my church, and Pastor. he would have nothing to say, and that is all.

This man had not placed his trust in God, and it is sad. There is no purgatory, and I am afraid that he was no saint.......he did all of these work - righteousnesses.

  • I am not quite sure on what it is that you are talking about. The thoughts are not in order

  • You jealous loser! Too bad.

  • You are so negative!

  • I'm a Protestant too! A Friendly Protestant! I love Bishop Fulton Sheen! The proper purpose of Protestantism is to be constructively competative with Catholicism! This improves both Protestantism and Catholicism! As long as it stays constructive!

  • I'm an ex-Catholic and I hate his dress. You, my friend, need a game of draughs, not a religion. This guy -- I have a minuite and a half -- is off the wall. Why is it that everyone knows what God says, when he laughs, etc.. Read Wycliff, not Fulton Sheen!

  • You are so off the wall yourself!

  • It takes a Real Man to be seen in public wearing a dress!

  • I'm a staunch Protestant, but I love this man. Absolutely brilliant.

  • Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen changed my life. However, if he were alive now, and if he read what I said, he'd say: "It was nothing I did, but it was the divine invasion." From his own explanation, Almighty God, through Sheen, saved me from Black Grace most terrible, Thank God, he still saves me! If (or more hopefully, when)I stand before our savior amidst all eternity, I hope to see how justly well Sheen is blessed: To see the utter lambency our God has bestowed upon him, rightly so.

  • what a saint!

  • ROCK ON bishop sheen!

  • Fulton Sheen rocks!

  • Fulton Sheen is the MAN! The original tv preacher. Notice I said preacher which is what's going on in all non Catholic churches. I think it's funny they call it worship, there's nothing to worship there.

Long live Fulton Sheen, I wish they would show re-runs on tv.

  • What are you saying? Are you saying there is nothing to worship in a Catholic church? Well, there is, definately. But we call ours Mass.

  • My comment was meant for the Protestants and the like. I'm Catholic. The Prots call it worship but really it's just a bible study with some guy in a suit trying to keep the people happy so he can stay in business.

  • Funny how a "man in a black dress" can run rings around these gorgeous preachers with the blinding teeth and the custom-made suits and stylized hair.

  • Father Corapi is another GREAT Priest who seems to have taken up Sheen's torch and is now running with it. You should listen to some of his talks, he refers to Sheen once in a while.

  • Hey, 1ton, do you get EWTN? The good Bishop Sheen is on Friday evenings. Check it out!

  • Yeah, EWTN is the BEST. Unfortunately I just have basic cable which EWTN is not included. But I do watch it on internet a few days a week. Thanks and God bless!
