I have hundreds of little black, shiney, roundish beetles in my worm bin. They are very active and crawl within the compost. They can even fly. Do you know what these are called and are they any threat to my worms? Thanks.
Sorry it took me a month to get back to you, I dont often check my YouTube account. I typically bury the scraps in my bin. I did an experiment and left them on top'; amazingly they did not stink. But they did attract small flying insects. So burying the scraps will keep away the flies.
Hi, nice video. May I ask your opinion on burying the waste products? Some videos and websites say to bury the scraps whilst others suggest simply placing them on the surface (as long as the bin is covered) is enough. Your opinion please?
All the other videos say to not put onion in. Is that being fussy on the makers' of those vid's part, or have your worms since escaped due to onion smell? Just convinced my wife to let me start a bin*. I need all the help I can get.
Wow! Beautiful.

If you lived by a lake you could sell quite a few worms for bait I would reckon.
