  • This guy does not look like a doctor lol

  • This is not a disorder. This is a bratty, badly behaved child who has been allowed to get away with it too long.

  • @clemdane or part of child development to test the boundries and see how far they can go.

  • I got ADHD, and now my dad thinks i have ODD because i say no when he asks me to come learn crap about his computer, take out the trash, and do the dishes. I also annoy my sisters alot. ISN'T THAT WHAT BROTHERS ARE SUPPOSED TO DO?

  • You guys want to know what's REALLY wrong with your children? Flouride in water. The levels in the school water are 4.5 times higher than in city water. The levels in city water are enough to cause brain damage, which is what's wrong with everyone. Tired? Forgetful? Achy? Cancer? Tumors? ADHD? Low IQ? FLouride is a poison that bio accumilates in the hypocampus (behavior).

  • @erin7375 haha that's a really good one!!!

  • I'm a PhD so I'm gonna make up a new disorder: It's called OOULPDDS Overmedicated Overflouridated Undereducated Linguistically Programmed Docile Dumbass Syndrome. If you can't remember it's intials, you have it. If you can't parent your own offspring without consulting a proffessional, you have it. If you believe every PhD, you have it. If you spend more time at work than with your kids, you have it. If you haven't studied anything outside of university, you have it. Hurry go get your meds

  • The "definition" does not constitute a legitimate issue. Just because you jackasses write a word on a peice of paper doesn't make it so. Human beings have the instinct to self preserve. You psychtards are trying to turn us into a bunch of docile slaves. Shave, you look like a pedophile. Who the hell are you to tell US how to parent? Look at the dumbed down overmedicated sorry excuse for adults we have in society and it becomes obvious why children are rebelling!

  • @ViolentMonopoly DEFINATELY not spam! Thumbs up!!!

  • dude looks like a fucking bum.

  • Sorry, my son is 5 and has ODD and I've done EVERYTHING to help my son not be angry or get in trouble and I was losing the battle. SPANKING DOES NOT WORK!! Praise and rewards for GOOD behavior does work parents. We just have to be patient and make sure we dont lose our cool. Things will get better!

  • @hankthehick roll your son a joint.

  • @CaptainNensho Another fine example of what's wrong with the "parents" of today.

  • @hankthehick Lay down and let your 5 yr old walk all over you. Then when he's 15 he can bitchslap you when you won't give him $50. What is wrong with YOU?! I've been a mother for 18 years, spankings DO work if you don't use a limp wrist. Get a grip lady, you are ruining your child. The childish behavior of your child isn't the problem. If you are "losing the battle" YOU are the problem. It shouldn't be a "battle" it should be you teaching your child what he needs to be a decent person. Poor kid

  • These criteria are from the DSM? If so, my daughter has all of these. She is 13, but this isn't a new thing. She's been defiant since day 1! What do I do because I am about to have her removed from my home so I can have the time and energy to raise my other three children. She occupies all of my time with her defiance and temper.

  • @Hlejames Stop blaming your child and look in the mirror. "Since day 1"?? Your child has been outsmarting you since day one? Well perhaps you should stop listening ot idiotic PhD's and start using your brain and instincts, if you still have any. You made that kid, now somewhere in you there must be some instinct as to how to raise her. Maybe she has no respect for you. Try changing yourself instead of trying to find a new illness to blame it on.

  • Look; ODD isn't just a child acting out. My cousin (pratically my brother, we are very close) is 8 and he has ODD and ADD and possibl tourette's, which i have. Dissipline doesn't help. He doesn't want to be bad, he just can't help it and he really wants to be b etter. So stop sating that parents should spank their kids or just ground them. Learn something about it and then make a comment.

  • @taylorswiftrox59 YOU need to learn more than one thing. Like how to spell. "He doesn't want to be bad"-ARE YOU FOR REAL?

  • @erin7375

Excuse me for a typo! And he doesn't want tobe bad,he CAN'T HELP IT most of the time. Did you even watch the video?

  • @taylorswiftrox59 Not one typo-many. That "can't help it" is a load of crap. He just hasn't had consequences that effect him to the point where he "wants" to do right!

  • when did Osama Bin Ladan become a child pyschologist. leave it to the terrorist to make up disorders so american parents can sympathizie with the children normal yet controlable behavior causing us to spend tons of money on therapy, medications, and adding an excuse for little timmy to act out. shit if i had a disorder that allowed me to act out dont you think after a while i would take advantge of it? what does the word "often" mean in this case? it means you cant control you children at all.

  • probably makes him feel more like a "doctor" know what i mean kinda

  • So, if your child is a cunt - they have ODD...

  • spank your children

  • It is also important to recognize that many adolescents with this disorder (problem) will go on to display antisocial disorder, which, if read about, has a distinct disregard and lack of remorse for the rights of other people. Don't be afraid of labels; the only labels that are bad ones are the ones that people are offended by. Labels are a much needed social tool for understanding problems we don't yet grasp.

  • We aren't talking about lashing out and being a tool, we're talking about feelings of intense anger, hostility, and irritability that ruin social relationships, hurt others physically and mentally, and prevent a child from developing. Moreover, the only bad part about a label is the way others react to it. A label is a way to communicate, research, and better the scientific community as well as the broader social community.

  • I agree that most descriptions come over as very simple and can be miscontrued into something as idiodic as labeling a child for being angry but that's not quite the case. Any mental health professional with any decent training understands that there are developmental periods where these symptoms are quite normal and furthermore, the symptoms must be very severe.

  • its not a disorder its being a teen.?!!

  • how would you know?

  • That's the nastiest beard I have EVER seen.

  • "Some might even say adults have it." wow. god forbid people resist acceptable dominance. this is bullshit.

  • Not necessarily, according to the DSM-IV-TR, it can go on beyond the age of 18 and can go Conduct Disorder, which is similar in symptoms, but much worse than the ODD condition.
