@purplewolfpimp Not flaming, but it actually won the 2011 Golden Joystick Award for Best Racing Game of the Year over Forza 4 a year after its release. Check Wikipedia if you don't believe me: search for Golden Joystick Awards, and then skip to 2011. Both games are great, and I would have liked more premium (fully detailed) cars for GT5, but the fact is that a racing game is all about driving, and I think that's why it won a GS over Forza - Forza was a bit too arcadey for them...

i think they tried to make the game more aimed at not making the car look "cooler" but by appreciating and possibly adoring it by what it looks like normally, maybe. The drag strip would be nice however.

I really wish my PS3 wasn't broken. All those hours of playing Mercenaries 2: World in Flames was meaningless. It ruined my PS3 slowly until it couldn't play anymore. I think that NFS and certain other racers might be for the younger lads but I think GT5 has a more lasting appeal with people of the 16+ age group. This is coming from a 20 year old that hated this game when I was younger but loves race sims now.

I loved NFS games when I was a kid because I always liked customizing the body but at the same age, I also loved playing Gran Turismo (First and only Gran Turismo that I had was 3) because of the fact that I could tune the cars using parts like tuning a real car. You know fiddling with the suspension, brakes, turbos and intercoolers, the lot. Ah good ol' days.
