I will say that since we are social animals, society arises naturally. In spite of its repercussions (e.g. pollution, war, etc.) it also provides many advantages. I think establishing the state was a wise thing to do.

this movie is so beautiful, its all about need to fell free and need to have some distance from society... Because we are animals too, we live in society and grow up in society but we have natural instincts too.

Sometimes society applicates some pressure on us, and we miss space for our natural instincts, and we could fell that we are in some kind of prison ,sometimes.

the movies was kinda dragging.

Plus the main character is freakin deluded, he can't put into consideration other people's feelings, particularly that of his parents'.

Trust me, this person may make for a movie that sells, but his personality is something you can't tolerate in real life.

i know what you mean man. the movie makes him out to be some kind of hero but really he was just a guy with a lot of issues. The concept of what he did makes a lot of sense, and the idea of doing what he did (but not dying) is really intruiging, but as for chris mccandless himself, he seems pretty vain and ignorant to what he was doing. Thats from watching the movie of course i cant say that i knew him or anything...

But, he completely missed how many people he met along the way that were good to him and loved him, and just wanted him to stay with them. He missed the love people were trying to show him that was right in front of him, and he died because of it.
