a3519- I've logged 17K blissful miles on my GS without issue. I do my own maintenance which is easy as pie on the boxer. FD issues? None for me. This is my first shaft-drive and my first BMW. So far I'm very happy.

Service costs really sick, Final drive failure, EWS malfunction, terrible buffeting, must be re-synced all the time, and so on..

The GS is a nice bike, but the reliability sucks.

That makes me stay away from BMW.

r 1200 gs and the s 1000 rr are the only cool bmws, maybe the f 800 r, the rest is shit.

what about the hp2?

the hp2 would be cool if it was a K or a F engine. but i think they whored out the boxer engine and put it in every garbage bike they could think up. so now when a cool bike like the hp2 comes out with a R engine, it seems to blend in with the other trash, when it is not a bad bike.
