@MegaBuckcherry stick the folder in Drive C (or whatever your default drive is named) and then try to search for it. Don't do an automatic search or update because it won't find it.

@cajungamer Then you did something aside from the directions that I gave. In no way would this fuck your PC up, because it only installs drivers for the EyeToy, nothing else. Unless the EyeToy and your PC are incompatible.

@blackheartjunkie From what it sounds like, the files are not extracted. Unzip the files and then follow the instructions to manually install the drivers.

ive downloaded my eyetoy & i have vista, my eyetoys a namtai. Firstly, download the zip from your description, then extract the folder. After that plug ur eyetoy in & go to device manager, it should say in other devices "eyetoy namtai"... right clik and clik update driver.. then it will come up with a warning, clik update anyway.. then a message will come up sayin ???? clik okay, then it will ask if your in a 50hz area, clik yes (even if ur not)... and done (:

Go into control panel, view devices and printers. Now, right click on your Eyetoy, and go to properties. Go to the hardware tab, then go to properties again. Next, a window will come up with a drivers tab. Go to update driver, and your set.

i thought i would use skype to make phone calls to my GF, better and free but I needed a webcam. First I tried using my nokia n82 using mobiola software, didn't work (or it did but then it timed out). Then I tried connecting my 8 year old Fugifilm digi cam but no software exists to turn this into a webcam.

Then I stumbled on this link on youtube, dusted off my eyetoy, followed this guys instructions and it worked first time, and is much better quality than anything else ive tried.

Well, I've never used it for longer than a minute, but try using Webcam Max from OCMania(.)com. It should work then. If you have any more problems, please use better typing because it will be to your benifit.

XP or Vista? I'm taking this into consideration that you went into device manager and manually installed it. Many people have had problems with Vista. If you could, download BSR or Cam Studio, and make a quick video about what your doing, which could help me figure it out. Also, sometimes Logitech cameras work for Namtai drivers and the other way around.

Sometimes happens. I had to do that too. For some strange reason, it just forgets what the eyetoy is, and you end up having to reinstall it up to 4 times for the info to stay there.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling. Sometimes, it gets corrupted during installation. I have not tried it with MSN, but if you can, download Webcam Max from OCMania(.)com. This might fix the problem.

It's in the start menu, and in Windows Digital Media Enhancements. It's called Windows Dancer, and you could look it up on the Mircosoft website. Don't remember the dancer's name tho.

Some programs render all cameras in bad quality, and others will render at their full capability. Depending on which program you use, it will be pretty blocky and stuff in fullscreen. Hope this helps.

As for running on VISTA, I have yet to figure this out. I will most likely figure it out over the weekend because he has a laptop running on vista. I will make a new video when I figure out Vista.
