  • what was the point of burning it..?

  • dude i hurt my finger hahaha

  • Amazing

  • I tried and it really works I thought it was bullshit but it worked

  • Holy shit that is magic

  • the center of gravity is between the two forks right where the toothpick touches the cup. this is cool because the center of gravity is not contained in the mass of the two forks, it's in between them.

  • /watch?v=e_PfLKSq8PI this is pretty cool too

  • I found this works better with a fork and spoon instead, just in my experience...

  • thanks man u r the best LOL!!!

  • i think its similiar to the ruler and hammer trick brusspup did. it probably has something to do with distribution of weight.

  • I would read all of these comments and arguments written here but there is a giant paper airplane to the right that I must go watch.

  • can anyone explain the physics behind this to me

  • I like physics tricks very much .

  • wat...

  • thats what she said

  • nice, but where does the amazing part come in?

  • Umm.. How.. did you.. OMG!

  • May I ask if what theorem or topic does it proves?

  • ara es incheq tuftummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • ... i was watching waiting for him to be like: "And then you do this amazing thing."

Then he said "And there you go!"

    Yay. Balancing.

  • Damn it... no i have to go find this comment....

  • it works by the forks because the are around the cup. im 12 and i could see that.

  • @ownabilityify Everyone can see that. dumb shit.

  • Dear God, Um hi its me again we have a glitch could you fix it....thanks.....o and im following you on twitter now.

  • center of gravity FTW

  • He did it with magnets.

  • @whatawookie5000 And you wrote your comment without a brain

  • @whatawookie5000

lol you must be american, cause everyone else knows about the physics behind that -.-

  • @gedankenwelten Aww, mindless Eurotrash bashing America. How cute.

  • @Supermassively

Thats really just an observation. I never saw an non american mixing up hooverflies with bees an wasps. Same goes for fish an whales. On deviantART most people who comment a picture with "great! but what is it?" are americans. With a second look on those pictures you almost always should realize what it is. Germans have their disadvantages too but at least don't try to persuade people from knowledge they don't posses (someone tried to tell me a whale shark was a whale...).

  • @gedankenwelten I'm sorry that your entire perception of America comes from the utter bullshit that your media feeds you.

  • @Supermassively

No, it doesn't. I have and had multiple opportunities to verify that on my own, playing EVE online or being part of deviantART. Also being part of youtube and reading comments here. I wouldn't call that "media" although techincally it is of course, but its's not fed to me, I experience it myself. I do not say that there are no sane americans, but the percentage of stupidity is unusually high. That's a problem of a vast society, so maybe you can't be blamed.

  • @Supermassively

Maybe I present myself in a wrong way...I have frieds of all races, americans too. Like I said, a small, strong elite and a big stupid mass is a problem that usually comes with a big society.

It was whatawookie5000s statement without arguements and evidence that made me snap. To be honest I'd probably also bashed on a german guy, finding other insulting words.

TBH there are also some weaknesses in my perception of americans. I'm usually surfing in the english part of the web.

  • @Supermassively

So it can be that there are just more american morons than german morons potentially freaking me out. On top of that the number of american people is one of the highest, so maybe my percepted percentage values about morons among different nations are off. I did not conduct a real statistical examination, although that would be interesting.

A last word about getting fed by media: I don't even own a TV, I HATE media because they portrait people in a wrong way and all that stuff.

  • @Supermassively

Saying "he did it with magnets" tells me the commenter doesn't know even the basics of physics but still claims to tell others how this trick is done. Thats just so typical american an the main reason why I was bashing. If you don't know, then don't try to tell other people the things you get wrong. I just don't wnat this stupidity to spread because enough people come to belive it without question and that is horrible.

  • i am student of level 9th in pakistan and we study physics this vidoe give me confidence to understand physics

    ttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttanks

  • OMFG this really is "bug" , someone should report it

  • Well done sir :)

    Nice tutorial

  • While this is neat it is an extremely basic trick utilizing the most basic of physics and is thusly the basis behind a variety of end table knick knacks, but well done with the tutorial.

  • daa eso no es fisica, es por el hecho de que al quemarse el palito se pega al vidrio

  • this is cool and all but honestly...... who the fuck sits, thinks, and comes up with some of this?

  • @awdordie People who have no life. Like me. lol

  • This is an aleien technologuy it seems. Maybe Lady Gaga woill lern this

  • I did it ! (: TY

  • First try got it then after that broke a box of toothpicks trying couldn't get them throw the forks

  • fuck my forks dont stick together

  • IT IS REALLY A MAGIC OF SCIENCE

  • makes since, you notice how the forks are cruved, one end if each fork is heavier than the other. just gotta balance right

  • i think i figure out why. when a material is hot,it blows apart all the molecules and then they stick together afterwards, means the heat just got the same mass together and looks like it's smaller,so the balance from both sides stay the same.

  • @GodOfFail1 nah its just playing with centre of gravity

  • Yeah, i just did it.. it's actually nog that hard... a practise of max 15 min :O Nice! Thanks dude!

  • 50 years later i balanced it!!

  • The game of life has been lacking in physics ever since they hired that group of mexicans.

  • its strange man.. nobody commented that its center of gravity is actually somewhere on the rim and that the rim is providing a normal force to it through the match stick... watch the forks they r heavier at the end..

  • @SpongeInPyjama you're crazy!!!! How could you say that?

  • How can you say that you didn't edited the video while you are still filming? WTF?

  • and now... its on fire... LOL

  • Wait, that's it? What was the point of burning it? I thought the forks were gonna do something cool

  • @SpongeInPyjama

Support your answer with evidence. Seems to me that you know EVERYTHING about him. Like my physics teacher said, "To really be Atheist you have to completely 100% know for sure with complete evidence that what you think of something does not exist."

  • @Zero00104 I'm a physics professor myself who is an Atheist, and I disagree. First of all, science tries to stay clear of claiming we can know anything in the absolute. Secondly, as an Atheist, I BELIEVE there's no supernatural which includes unicorns, fairies, demons, gods, genies, angels, mermaids, etc. Even though technically on a purely philosophical level, I don't truly KNOW if there isn't one of each or some of these creatures somewhere in the universe.

  • What.. how... why.... *head explodes*

  • What is so amazing about this? It is very obvious from the geometry that the center of mass is right under the point where the toothpick meets the glass.

This is a very trivial matter to anyone who paid attention in high school physics classes.

  • all about center of gravity

  • i think its cuz the outer edges of the fork go past the tooth pick edge so it counter acts the weight of the prongs.

  • doesnt tht scare u?! thats not ''physics trick'' thats black magic....god shall throw u in hell

  • @Starscreammer23

False statement - God doesn't exist.

  • @SpongeInPyjama how can u say that? look around you well! the world is created by god,do you think you can create a world like this? no offense to you but your out of your mind

  • @Starscreammer23

None of us mortals created the world. you're using fallacy called - the straw man.

I didn't say anything about ME creating the world right?

by the way, if you think that i am the one who is out of his mind, then you're wrong. I keep it rational enough not to BELIEVE that my imaginary friend is all that almighty to create the world.

  • @Starscreammer23 Do you realize that when a Muslim looks at the world around them it proves to them that Allah is real, when a Hindu looks around them it proves to them Vishnu is real, when a Buddhist looks around it proves to them that Buddha was right, and when an Atheist looks around he's simply at awe at how amazing nature is. Everybody is looking at the same thing and interpreting it differently. Looking at the natural world "proves" nothing supernaturally, but it sure is beautiful.

  • @SpongeInPyjama not necessarily false. It's just unproven. you talk about fallacy, but you just made an obvious fallacy.

Yet, i won't say that "God exists" a true statement, because it has no proof too, but it doesn't mean it's false.

Oh, wth, this video is about physics and people are arguing about religion. Go find another forum to do that.

  • report the bug, theyll reboot the matrix shortly

  • u talk to much fag...

  • @gear1234567890 the only fag was in that toothpick container.

  • fuck..

  • Did you record this with a webcam?

  • I don`t understand what is so amazing, it a system in balance. The handle of the fork is a counter weight to the sharp end.

  • What was god's number? I need to report a bug.

  • @iPlayWithPhysics repeat...

  • @iPlayWithPhysics its 786 try it

  • Nobel Prize!!!

  • the forks are already interlocked how do you get it through the forks? force? muscles?

  • What kind of physic topic would this be under? I need a project and this would be a great demo but i have no clue what to classify this as? Not a clue what traits are acting upon the tooth pic and forks.

  • @escomoboob Newtonian physics + center of mass stuff (classical physics)

  • "I've just blowed it out"? Physics lesson; not grammer...

  • it makes perfect sence. the center of gravity is focused on the tooth pick and if the center of gravity shifts it is going to fall.

  • In soviet russia the fork balances you

  • i did it in my first try

  • Why you call that the trick? I saw nothing strange, You are rediculous

  • @stevenerer sucks to be you.

  • You need be warned. There is black magic at play with this. You will get dragged to Hell

  • @CrubbDaTubb i can get my dick to grow an extra 12 inches. is that black magic......

  • @CrubbDaTubb

HAHAHA you're such a typical religous believer wow..

  • @CrubbDaTubb

Are you retarded or just stupid?! Give this guy little credit. And for your comment i have something to say...YOU need to be warned. You need to go fuck yourself and then be burned until you become ashes.

  • hey nice vid, could you tell me how that happened, im using it for my physics project

  • The spirits will come into your life if you do this. They will make you call for them and long for death. Beware

  • How? :S

  • equilibrium

  • It's like there is spirit holding the forks. People shouldn't mess with nature like this as there are dark forces at work here

  • @CrubbDaTubb hahahahahahaha....HAHAHAHAHA xD

  • @CrubbDaTubb wtf?.... somebody needs to good to school for a bit longer

  • how stupid are the persons that are amazed by that ??

  • @MetaKnight23 idiot... a person two people.

  • @tomyferland1234 sorry for my bad english.... maybe you should try to write german without a mistake

  • Can someone please explain how that's possible

  • @LordOfYahoo center of gravity maybe?

  • @kyle22697 Don't you mean the centre of Mass?

  • @PianoPlayingMonkey yeah sorry :)

  • @PianoPlayingMonkey No he means weight probably, mass has nothing to do with it you could have something very large only weigh a few ounces...

  • @Magicxskater No, he means mass. What you just types doesn't make sense. Your explination is irrelivant to the point. Weight is a force where gravity acts upon mass.

  • I did this about 3 years ago antel now I never done it again, if you know what I mean.

  • it's not physics, it's math....

  • can i do it with a glass cup?

  • OIMG THATS SO COOOOOLLL

  • This is amazing... i just did 3! infact... i just made a video about it lol kudos to ilspaturnaz for the inspiration XD

  • amazing!

  • i did this right now it took me like 5 times so sick

  • very cool

  • It's just like those little novelty birds that balance on their beak. The handles of the forks are actually sticking infront of the the pivot point, (the edge of the glass). This equals out with the weight behind the pivot point, (the prongs of the fork), and thus you have balance.

  • it's cooler if you balance the back toothpick on another toothpick stuck in a salt shaker

  • the reason u have a hard time balancing the forks is because the gravity force is spread even throughout. When it's pulling down on the toothpick, in order to keep them in place they should not be flat, shove them together to make a "V"-shaped figure. You'll find this trick works a lot easier then.

  • ive done this it works
