Bruce Kulick played on this album, the best Guitarist to ever be in Kiss. He took Marks place and stayed in the band fro longer than any other Guitarist. He also wrote 5 albums of Guitar AND Gene's Bass.
Wasn't Bruce in Michael Bolton's band back in the day? I swear there was a video where Bolton was lookin all hard core and Bruce was on guitar, I forget the name of the song though.
Ye, he was in Michael Bolton's band for some time, that's why they co-wrote Forever for both Kiss and Michael Bolton. Bruce recorded on 2 albums between 1983 and 1985. But ye, Bruce is still one of my favorite Guitarists, he toured with Meat Loaf back in 1977.
Peter and Ace dug their own graves. I think that Gene & Paul would have taken both of them more seriously if they were not messed up so much. ALL of the stories told about Peter and Ace are consistant and when they started to put the band's reputation at stake, well, what else should Gene & Paul do? If you were in a successful band and any of the members began to ruin it, would you still keep that person(s) and allow them to destroy everything that you worked for?
but Ace has always done well in his solo career! paul has always been neutral in the situation and gene has always been the control freak in the band! even paul has disagreed with some of his decisions amongst the band! paul and ace are still good friends!
yeah Ace has done OK but again, Peter bitched and complained all of the time, Ace was always wasted and either late or didn't show up for appointments. Gene was rightfully concerned since he wanted the band to have a good image and be successful. Peter and Ace had some good stuff that SHOULD HAVE been considered for the albums. I think that Gene didn't want it because they were not serious ENOUGH about the band. Would you allow members to ruin YOUR future with a substance abuse problem?

A follow-up to one of my entries: I saw KISS in December 1985 on the Asylum tour. Black 'n' Blue opened. Tommy was in that band. Who knew then?
