  • ok thats crazy

  • This is nothing new in classic cartoons. How many times did Wile E. Coyotee get blown up or other characters get shot only to have powder burns?

  • This 10-seconds clip is actually smarter than anything on TV right now.

  • Note that he says, "IF I had a gun, I'd shoot myself!". It's quite obvious, from his overactive imagination, that he'd never REALLY kill himself {a logical punch line would have had him adding, "I gotta remember to keep that finger empty..."}.

  • I don't think woody can really kill himself since he's a cartoon character.

  • Next time, Woody gets into the knife drawer.

"Down the road, kids! Not across the street! Ha-ha-ha-HAAAA-ha!"

  • Thank God these violent images were banned so we can now watch Icarly and the fucking Jonas Brothers.

  • Woody!!! You're my boy! You are my favorite Cartoon and Birdie Cartoon along with Woodstock!!! I love you bro!

  • He has Tiny Head's voice from The Twisted Whiskers Show!!!

  • NO BIRDS WERE HURT IN THE MAKING OF THIS FILM!

  • Odd...looking back on it, cartoons could really be fucked up! xD

  • What episode is this?

  • lol

  • Pff, people, y u so mad? Adults can watch cartoons as well, besides, I used to watch lots of cartoons with blood and death in it when I was little (Animals of farthing woods, watership down... anyone else watched those?) and I loved those cartoons. But cartoon violence is not always bloody. For example now, take "Steamboat Willie". Just look how much violence there is, animal abuse and everything. ;)

  • Honestly kids are just pure out dumb.... No wait its there parents for not teaching them the do's and don'ts not tv shows or video games. THE parents are to blame.

  • People are so moronic. Watching this reminded me of this documentary I watched about slasher films. At one point it showed a clip from an interview between two anti-horror people. They start talking about the trailers for the films and how their "sexist", showing these women cowering in corners in near-nudity then getting slaughtered by the killer. (the clip is from the 70's or 80's) When really, guys are usually the ones getting killed, girls are usually the one to survive and kill the killer.

  • @headlesskiller Which just goes to show, all the people who talk shit about movies, shows, and music are usually, if not ALWAYS the SAME people who DON'T watch/listen to what they're talking shit about, and if they've seen/heard it, they've usually only seen/heard like 1sec-5min of it

There's too much stupidity in this world, and not the good kind.

...And they call obesity an epidemic...

  • i feel like I've been challenged to kill myself just by watching this!

  • were a pussified country! like this stuff get over it! its great ! everything I grew up loving and things I was able to do I cant do anymore therefore depriving me of my childhood and my rights.

america has to appease all the huddled masses that come into this country~!~~

not taxpayers like me who were here! makes me so fuckin sick!!!

  • For those who are wondering what short this is from, I just found out:

    "Wacky-Bye Baby," 1948.

  • what episode?

  • MUST

    SHOOT

    MY

    BRAAINZ !

  • Ahhh the classics

  • what episode is this from?

  • Blame Walter Lanza for telling kids to die!

  • @zingarzahoy26 Hey! I'm a kid! I totally agree with you, buddy! :)

  • @nerdtvch5 Its true, but my dad seen these cartoons once.

  • To be honest, when I first saw this, I was like "WHAT THE HECK???!!!" That was kind of scary, but the kind of scary that makes you laugh a lot afterwards. XD

  • HEY KIDDIES THE MORAL HERE IS BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR YOU JUST MIGHT GET IT

  • "No home, no friends, no money. Ah. If i had to shoot myself."

wtf so many errors in my comment, so many fails?! I'm not good at english. Jesus.

  • 3 people shot themselves

  • I wish I can make things pop to my hand in midair

  • He was kidding anyways! I'm sure any kid could figure that out! WHY CAN'T THEY SHOW GOOD CARTOONS ANYMORE?!!!! D=

  • This cartoon was when kids weren't idiots who do everything they see on t.v.

  • I don't see why retards thinks cartoons encourage violence or suicide. I've seen this stuff all my life and have I tried blowing my brain out or tried launching a giant rock at a roadrunner with a slingshot? No, people are just cowardly enough to blame entertainment.

  • so thats how woody got so crazy

  • Anyone who says this cartoon was intended to encourage children to commit suicide is off the wall crazy. There is no rhyme to reason for cartoonists and directors to intentionaly send subliminal messages to children to "off" themselves. I mean, seriously...You are not going to hear a story about Dick Lundy laughing "This is going to really f**k some kids life up!" while directing this scene. This scene is nothing but a joke and for the record a pretty damn funny one at that.

  • this is predictive pragramming ...

that way weak minded kids that watch this grow up and thier solution to life would be suicide above anything else...

i can see it... plain sight! you people are just to retarded to see it!

  • @Death2theNWO777 I'm going to commit suicide because I saw a cartoon bird do it thirty years ago and it looked like so much fun! My God, you're an idiot.

  • @Death2theNWO777 I don't care what predictive pragrams do to kids, this is a television program.

Kids these days like yourself are weak minded and don't know how to spell because of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

I can see it, in plain sight! You're a retard!

  • these cartoons wheren't for kids originalty they where for adults (YES I know i can't spell)

  • No i think they could. Try it kids!

  • Dude... they couldn't get away with this then either. They censored a LOT of these things in the 50's, 60's and 70's too.

  • 0:05 Somebody should make a t shirt out of that.

  • @JunkHornet yeah and it would say...

"I'll do it man...I'LL FUCKIN DO IT!

  • what epsiode was that

  • @cheatsyokoopa Its called "Wacky Bye Baby"

  • just me to play Counter strike... everythiung like that xD

  • I grew up watching Woody Woodpecker and other "evil" old cartoons and I ended up fine. Children are not as stupid as people think to take seriously and mimic anything they see on TV. Children with mental or psychological problems will express violent behaviour at some stage in their lives and it will certainly not be due to the influence of a cartoon. So better worry about the serious things.

  • wow these are really mature when you watch one ten years later and understand the meaning of what he said

  • @shalimon13 but its still funny

  • what is this cartoon called

  • @triedge763 Its called "Wacky Bye Baby"

  • what episode is this

  • its only through cartoons like this that I remember that there was a time when our country could just laugh at a joke and did not have to have everything politically correct and 1500% appropriate for kids.

  • LOL! That's got to be the most over the top way for Woody Woodpecker to kill himself!

  • you wont see that in new cartoons; except anime

  • that is it.... i kill you.......

  • This would be awesome to show on TV.

If I had a TV station I'd show this just for the lulz.

    Also it's funny.

  • Lmao

  • This was on wacky bye baby!

  • Anybody knows what cartoon is this from?

  • I did some research it's called "Wacky-Bye Baby".

  • Its super-sensitive idiots like these that keep cartoons like this and Looney Toons from being played nowadays. It's sad really, depriving kids of real comedy. Instead they get crap like Skunk-Fu and Total Drama Island.

  • @Lybra1022 True. Ands It's really hypocritical because kids can see Rap artists shoot each other or pertuate mock gun violence in music videos every day. ...and it's not cartoon violence either.

  • @Lybra1022: You took the words right out of my mouth!

  • @Lybra1022 true that

  • @Lybra1022 i see your point but do you know the name of this cartoon?

  • @Lybra1022

You know, super-sensitive idiot could also describe a kid very well?

Dont like the Cartoons nowadays too, but in fact in the past there had been so many cartoons whose comedy was only based on cruelty, look tom and jerry, roadrunner etc its fun is always based on something that would kill in real life, u thinks thats normal?

  • @Stud328 well to play devil's advocate not alot of kids stuff these days isn't normal either its just watered down and boring

  • @Stud328 Yes, it is very normal. because animated characters arent real, they don't die. now If Woody's skull came apart when he shot himself, that's where things get a little too much for kids. but that was not the case, so it shouldn't harm a child at all.

  • @Lybra1022 the original loony toons are aired every day at 5am and again at 11am ct on cartoon network.

  • @Lybra1022 word

  • Anybody know the name of the episode?

  • YES, BECAUSE 9 SECONDS OF VIDEO CAN REALLY BRAINWASH A KID.

fucking insensitive dicks. OH NOES HE'S SO EVIL GLAD THEY DON'T SHOW THIS NOW.

    You are all dumb.

  • Comment removed

  • @gaddayum What do you mean?

  • you fail.

  • So does your ability of critical thinking to what this small, but classic cartoon example truly represents.

Stop drinking flouride while you still have neurons left.

  • @dwayne

    Conspiracy-lovin' dipshit.

  • Wow. That is stupid, there is nothing that can be gained by getting kids to kill themselves.

  • america land of the retarded.

    sad sad sad

  • hey i tought there was gonna be some seriouse brain bashing

  • He doesn't kill himself. You can clearly see at the end he throws the gun away.

  • Poor Woody....

  • I know EXACTLY how he feels. I never thought I'd be comparing myself to Woody Woodpecker one day ha!

  • wow and we wonder why there's so many weirdos, brainwashed from the tube

  • wtf

    talk about predictive programming

  • lol

  • oh god, we need more cartoons like this today =D
