why do the riffles look backwards ??

@7777dmith7777 haha, they sort of are, but it still works because the longer side of the riffle is still inclined enough to catch the heavier stuff, though it seems some of it would get washed away. maybe you get a cleaner concentrate this way because less dirt and other undesirables have enough weight to stay in there?

How car do YOU typically classify your rocks before you put it in the sluice box, and how do YOU personally further refine it to get smaller flakes, and face powder out of the run off? Do YOU personally try to separate the blond from the black before you do this?
