the police is a martial force that is part of the local and national government. When you have rebellion against a current gov't, you have police sent out to quell it. If these protesters can't get past the police, you can't get to the politicans or even the president. These police are getting attacked and aggravated because they are in a sense protecting the current gov't and are cutting down on the protesters. None of us would understand the situation becuase we aren't in it.
