i bought counter strike: source and garry's mod together on steam. I downloaded both and counter-strike works very well, but garry's mod opens up and then closes with a window opening saying hl2.exe has stopped working. i have uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing seems to work. any suggestions?

try going to my games on steam, then click the game ONCE then press options, then launch options and type -dxlevel 8 or it might be dxlevel- 8 look on the internet

Hey terov if you still cant get it working try going into control panel > System and maintenance > System > Advanced system settings > Performance settings > Data execution protection and press add then find hl2.exe and add it to the list and apply sorted out my hl2 problem

The winch tool is hard to master. It can get reversed and cause things to close the wrong way easily. Just use a hydraulic, which a real blast door would use. That's why they make that droning noise when moving.
