Argain private server, exact replica of classic mordred.. truthfully best server i have ever played on. player base is probably at like 300, 100 ppl is cap till next week it's 1000 player cap with an amazing host.
hows the population/community in this? looking for a mmo to play while waiting for Swtor, i don't mind the graphics, i came up on eq, and eqoa.... but is the community accepting of new players, and is it easy to level up with probably empty low level zones? also can you recommend a server?
@KatanaSole go america there is only 1 server left. They combined all. Its active. Lvling is easy. you can reach end lvl in 2 weeks now. Trying to find a guild who accepts you is hardest part. IF you get in they help you lvl up fast.
DAoC is fully end game pvp based. The road towards got some active BG. End game you face core players who do this for years. Its hard but the guild teaches you. Hang in and you learn pvp the best way. The road is hard.
@Pyltje02 i really wanna play this again also i have like 7 level 50s but i havent played since 2003 has much changed and is there atleast 1000+ people on at all times ? camelotherald is down so I cant check it myself
@LoLiKicker first step corner you dont need to lag jump for. Its possible since opening of DF. What you call lag jump is actualy an alt tab jump. Thats used for reaching 2nd step or even higher. They reduced jumping years ago, but never fixed the first step in DF. It is to low and they know it.
@Cortaal only in df. The combined events in all battle grounds had fun for all classes, solo and groups. It also brought so many to DF (new players) who never been there. After the event much more people went there so the event served a nice extra goal.
@Cortaal aye ha ha. Best part was to find people who charged down with 100 of their side..went link dead..logged back in and had 100 of the other side staring at them ;)

@Cortaal i logged my merc back in and found my self running with a zerg of mids. Haha ...i ran with them all the way back till center portal where i could rush out. None of them noticed me ;)
@Flicker455 old players...like me...still remember that we had on weekdays 3000 players per server. All battlegrounds had action of 100+ players and NF relic raids had 500+ people per side.
DF was packed with people and on arty raids 100+ people showed up.
Thats why they call it dead.
Still Daoc got a nice small active list of players...25.000 world wide...and that used to be nearly 300.000.
In thos days 300.000 active was awsome. Specialy since not many had internet or was still on dial up.
Server is peaking at 3k these days, the action is more than enough, a bit too much in some cases. But yeah, I've had an active account for over 9 years so I know what it was like.
@Flicker455 I'm sorry, but the game you see in all those videos before Labby expansion, is not the same. Less (Way) Lplayers, and so on. I still play an love it, but it's still not what DAoC used to be.
@HenseStudioz they aimed with new frontiers to reach over 400.000 players. All warnings from players they put aside and they went on. New frontiers and the intro of Master lvls and arties had one effect. The leaving of 80% of the players.
To downgrade a keep take from 40+ players needed to lets do it with 1 group and fast tells it all. Realm ranks mean nothing nowdays. In one year 90% will be rr11+...and then what.
New people are coming back to DAoC everyday. If you are new to daoc you should know its easy to get to max lvl where the pvp action is taking part. All you got to do is the solo/grp instances, there are like 4 of them, lvl 0-20, lvl 20-30 ect. You just take quests from the taskmaster in the villages close to the instances and go into the instance and complete it, then go back and repeat until your lvl 50 and ready for the real game! The pvp is really breathtaking!

@Cassette5446 prime time there is. All play now on one server so everyone is there.
Be ready for hard pvp because there are loads of high real ranked players now.
If 2003 is the last time you played be rdy for a tough fight. Hang in there and you be up to date in 2 or 3 weeks.
Find good guilds and remember that you can play all 3 realms on this server.
Europe is dead. America is good to play

@totalturtle1 i play most albs and Hib. This was a DF event with DF open to all sides. Insane fighting and RP scoring.
