It's true: Mister Softee is the most irritating entity in the city. "Irritating" doesn't actually cut it; it's maddening. The worst noise pollution in town. It should be banned. A simple bell would suffice. This jingle is just plain hostile. I refuse to buy their crappy ice-cream entirely because of this ever-blaring jingle that plagues our streets from March through November.

I am not opposed to ice-cream trucks but I am opposed to them playing amplified tunes. Some cities have banned the amplification. They should only be allowed to ring an acoustic bell. I am living in a place where these damn things come by everyday and you can hear them circling around much of the evening. It is violation of a person's right to peaceful enjoyment of their home.
