@PEACE63641 Demo's at shows like E3 are often done on developer rigs, they have pc's standing behind the little curtains that have insane processing power so they can do more shadereffects and FSAA and whatever they want to make it look as good as they can, xbox consoles at home do not have the processing power required for all those nifty effects and so people at home have a game that loosk worse than what they saw in shows.

@356Answer eh false. USA games are all about FPS, Japanese Games are the best for variety especiall JRPG´s those are my favorite kind. FPS is weak on Japan but Horror Games are weak on USA, Japanese Games are the best for horror games like Silent Hill, some of the shini tensei games, SIREN and lots more oh and dont forget Fatal Frame. Japanese Games also influenced some other American releases for example Earth Defense Force Insect Armageddon.

It seems bizarre to me that about 9 years after the fantastic Omaha Beach level of MOHAA* that game producers are only in the last couple of years understanding the importance of decent story telling, epic moments and cinematic visuals and action.

Steven Speilburg was involved in that one - and it seems like the cinematic input into games makes major difference. However, it would be a shame if games all became just "vaguely interactive" movies.
