Fantastic footage!!! Looks more like Wacky Races by today's standarts ;) but it's so fun to watch - golden, glorious times of motorsport.....and Renault 20 was a decent machine, my father had one :)

Wow! A Mercedes G chasing an R20 in the desert. That's great! By the way, it's amazing how well the R20 handles in the sand. Was that an special 4x4 version or the usual front-wheel drive?

Great video. Nice remembrance when Paris - Dakar was only represented by amateurs adventurers instead of professional teams. I used to live a town close to brothers Marreau who won once that rally. They are from Sens.
