Bruno actually gave Nikolai his first big break back in the late 60's when he ran the Pittsburgh territory. He teamed Volkoff with Tony Newberry and made them into a monster heel tag team known as "The Mongols". In fact, Volkoff's first pro match EVER was against Bruno in 1968.
