We do not fill the pockets of politicians to the same extant as people who's direct actions and pay offs got us into this mess. With the way America is divided and the real cause of economic issues is blurred by lobbying, there is little else most people can do but blame and complain about politicians who's salaries they pay.

Oh the irony of acting as if you are on a disconnected island from the Senate and had NO IDEA they negotiated for a 2month time period. They left because Dems wanted to kick the can down the road and only extend the tax cut for 2 months... just long enough for them to get their holiday break in. Repubs wanted to extend it for the full year. How about you read before you rant. Dear god the ignorance in this country is palpable.

All you folks claiming that the Democrats are opposed to extending the tax cut for a full year: you DO realize it was the Republicans that refused to pass a full year extension in the Senate, right? The House Democrats are doing the best they can with what the GOP handed them, and to claim that it's the GOP that wants a longer extension is ignoring how we ended up in this mess to begin with. The Senate's gone home and they ain't coming back. Repubs need to quit whining about the bill they made.
