T-Mobile HD7 Hardware and Negatives Review (The Wingster)

I like when people say button properly. I love this phone, only thing is that I just dropped it about 2 inches and it dented the left side, wow, they shouldve used better side panels. I tell you, it was a two inch drop or less, not even that hard, fell onto my tv remote and bam! it's dented. Plus on top of that, my case that I had ordered for it came in the mail like an hour later, wow.

@NewYorkCityTimes That sucks :( I have Wrapsol on my HD7 (just like InvisibleShield), and I drove off with my phone on the roof of my car, and when I picked it off the ground after driving at about 15 mph, it was fine minus a few little scratches on the corner. No dents or anything. Either Wrapsol works, or I got lucky! I think it was a combination of both those things haha.

hi, do you think i should go for an Omnia 7 or this HD7? , ive always wanted an HD7..because i never had the HD2..love the weather animations. BUT...the samsung juts looks gorgeous.

@FizeG1O No. A future update will probably unlock that, but right now, there is no way to set custom ringtones.

@shaq3334 First Gen operating system or not, they still are negatives. I absolutely love my HD7, but there's nothing wrong with recognizing where it could improve. I say that some of the things are going to be addressed in the early 2011 update.

@andrewbares I think those are to be expected with the first gen systems thats why I wouldnt call them negetives...if at the very least just mear annoyences then anything cause they got some great things goin for that os. And I totally agree with you I think alot of them are goin to be addressed in 2011. I cant wait to get raid of my pos icrap...i mean iphone lol. Just waiting for mine on back order. Were those the only downsides that youv seen so far.

@shaq3334 Yeah those were all the downsides I've caught so far. None of them would stop me from buying a WP7 all over again. As this one online reviewer wrote once, there may be some flaws in WP7, but I don't see them, since it is perfect for me, similar to how my wife might have some flaws to you, but to me she's perfect.

WP7 does what I need to do, and it does it well. The only thing I actually miss is copy/paste, cause when I answer someone in a forum online and want to paste a link in.

@andrewbares Lol now that made me laugh. Sweet then Im so stoked. Im particluar excited to use the maps feature...have you heard anything about them getting navigation at all.

@shaq3334 I haven't heard anything on the Turn by Turn yet. Hopefully they'll add that soon, I loved that on my old WinMo phone. For now, there's a TeleNav GPS trial that comes with the HD7 haha.
