No lie... A guy from my church was in this fire and got blown accross the street and was not harmed one bit... Intact, he standing right beside the one guy who got killed and near the the person who is in cc..... Wow, I pray for the family of the lost and the others who are hurt but are safe. Our hearts and prayers go out to the young man who died in the explosion as well as the injured workers. Your fellow gas workers at San Diego Gas & Electric send out our deepest condolences. We know how gas leaks and broken and blowing gas lines are and it truly sucks seeing one of our brothers lose his life on the job. To people who knew the young man and to those who do this line of work just ignore the ignorant comments made by many, they cant and wouldnt do this type of work anyway.

@flickz2000 no it was not planned there was complaints of a gas smell and when pgw workers (philadelphia gas works) got there the found the gas leak problem the poice firemen and news came then as they were digging to seal of the broken pipe to much gas came out mixed with the air and some kind of ignition source (static electricity maybe) cause it to explode it was a 12 inch gas main and scary to watch in person

I had friends that were just living three blocks from that explosion. That entire has gas problems. PGW will rarely fix any pipe or gas problems that occur. Until there is a "significant" amount of gas in the air, you're on your own.

@flickz2000 no it was not planned there was complaints of a gas smell and when pgw workers (philadelphia gas works) got there the found the gas leak problem the poice firemen and news came then as they were digging to seal of the broken pipe to much gas came out mixed with the air and some kind of ignition source (static electricity maybe) cause it to explode it was a 12 inch gas main and scary to watch in person

I had friends that were just living three blocks from that explosion. That entire has gas problems. PGW will rarely fix any pipe or gas problems that occur. Until there is a "significant" amount of gas in the air, you're on your own.

I have no idea how a gas main explosion relates to the US imploding in on itself...I'm currently living in the US and we're doing just fine. That's what makes us great, the ability to adapt and get out of poor situations. It has nothing to do with superiority.
