  • Simply amazing!

  • go back where you came from, Napoleon :p

  • I love the first 1.30 mins, beautiful. Then it starts to get a bit wierd and crazy

  • Thank you for posting.

  • TL;DR

  • This is magnificent, an adventure from beginning to end.

  • I dare anyone to dislike this!

  • Que temazo.

  • zero dislikes ? you people have good taste

  • @JEatsbabies You're going to jinx it!

  • It is a technical performance. It lacks the slavic soul and passion.

  • @Power2thePeoples

I wouldn't call this modest music. the whole piece is one giant gloat to the french. Waaay, we beat you! its as full of pomp as any anthem. Saying that, its still a bloody beatiful bit of music.

  • @mannwhite @bamaman71492 @Power2thePeoples

I completely agree that a lot of music these days is mass production with no artistic content. But there is still a lot of real art out there that people do not see as art. Art is all about creativity and expression in whatever new interesting form.

Also, not all forms of art are to serve the same purpose.

  • Great music is great music, regardless of time. This masterpiece is brilliant...just as many songs from today. However, I agree with some that most music these days should not be confused with art.

  • The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra imho plays this better. This is incredible none the less.

  • I listen to heavy metal, and most people find it strange that I also enjoy the odd bit of classical - especially Tchaikovsky.

  • @createsumchaos Heavy Metal has its roots in Classical music, they share a very large set of similarities, (i.e a heavy baseline). If Bach or Wagner were alive today they'd be playing for Metallica

  • I love this song the band im in plays it.

  • you can tell this is beautiful music because he was gay..........dah!!!

  • bajs

  • You people that are nagging about modern music don't forget that this music was also modern in its own days. It's surprising to me how stubborn people are to accept new art.

  • @92yara I totally agree with you, but calling Justin Bieber and Britney Spears art is stretching the definition of art to beyond breaking point.

  • @92yara The difference is "new art" like rap and most other stuff doesnt take any talent with computers they make the worst people sound good.. it isnt art it is just crap.. i like rock and some other new stuff but most of it sucks

  • @92yara Many people are captives of their own taste, but we can point to modern sensationalism is music. You have to be provocative or edgy to get on top these days. There are still songs of the struggles of life and the hardships we all endure, rap and rock alike, but it is so clouded by all the "big shot gangsta rapas" and the mommy metal whiny "rock gods" who all just talk about sex in the backs of cars or how much money they have and "all the bitches they got". This music is great and modest

  • With modern music you don't need imagination to enjoy it, with something this classic its all about feeling and so many of the stories it could be telling! I love it when you can relax to something so powerfull but not overbearing

  • It's revolting to me what attention span does to music these days. There is so much neglected genius just abridged because idiots are too bored to appreciate great music.

  • Totally agree, this is great music, but don't be sad, only this kind of music will last forever, until the end of times...

  • very true. When the fads of talentless music and performances have dwindled into oblivioun we will still have the greats.

  • Relevance my friend. The greats are relevant centuries after their deaths. "Modern" music passes from memory in a matter of months.

  • Hmm...well put.

  • @Kanyanisback And Jimi Hendrix. It will never be played as well as when he was playing it but it will live on.

  • Do you mind telling me which orchestra played this? It stands out from the very beginning.

  • It's the Chicago Symphony Orchestra

  • @TheWickedNorth MAGNIFICENT!
