ya some movies have same probblem,i think depends where it was made mexico/canada/usa and i think china gets a contract to produce game discs but it happens so few times its hard to find the where the trend is where i live in b.c. canada i never herd of this probblem
If you guys do get a scratched disc and you can't return it no need to fear. Thankfully its supported by Microsoft so go to their site and go to like disc problems. You will see something like free disc replacement and halo 3 is on the list. Fill out the form and they will send you a new disc or you will send them in your disc not really sure. Don't worry if its scratched just return it or do the disc replacement.

no no no i ment the disc docter has sand paper that will refinsh the disc as new as long as its not gouged it should work and there is a spary with it to.

I just got the Legendary Edition, and the games are in their own, regular Xbox360 cases. The cases are exactly like other Xbox360 games, so the discs stay in place, and they are in place and are NOT scratched, so it's safe to get the Legendary Edition.

they will replace your disk just go to the costumer support on xboxes wbsite and there will be a list of games that can be replaced, and Halo 3 is one of them

The samething happened to me. The Halo 2 packaging was better. I guess trying to deliver over 1.5 million units before midnight was more of the mission. Nonetheless, the game plays and if I wish to remove the scratches I can go to my local game store and have it buffed up.

If you got it shipped, that sucks for you, should have got it at midnight at a Gamestore close to you. I got mine at Midnight, 2nd Copy of CE, opened it there, nothing missing, nothing moved, nothing loose, and no scratches. Brand new...

my game disk was fine...but the "essentials" disk doesnt play..it tells me to either, "insert into an xbox 360 console." OR it doesnt more from the dashboard and it says "tray open." I finished the game and it played fine though
the legandary editions packaging is supposed to come with a black case and its supposed to have 3 disks in it, mine had 2 different cases, one with 2 disks and one with 1 disk, i feel ripped off and im e-mailing them about it!

take some brasso, apply it to a sock and rub in a circular motion all over affected areas it worked perfectly on my halo 3 legendary. im stupid, i set the xbox on its side while the disk was spinning LARGE scratch on the outer rim, after the brasso is done let it dry for 5 minutes and wipe it off from the center of the disk to to the outside edge, trust me it works perfectly its like sanding down the scratches with very fine sandpaper so fine you cant even see it.

you apply the brasso to a sock or other thing you don't care about and then rub in a circular patern where the deepest gashes are when you are done wipe of the excess with a sock, and if it still doesn't work rinse it off

Luckily I was able to swap out my CE for regular edition. I plan to get CE later in the future if Microsoft plans to change the damn spindle to the regular/Legendary edition.
I got the halo 3 collectors edition and my disc was loose and scratched as well so i returned it and exchanged it and looked at the disc in the store. the store let me look at it. That one was also loose and scratched, so they get another one, they opened it, that one was loose and scratched too. and that was the last few copies they had of the CE Edition. I was disappointed that i couldnt play tonight
While your in the store, I would *lightly* shake the case to see if the game disk is loose. If its not loose, then it shouldn't be scratched, meaning its safe..

If you got it shipped, that sucks for you, should have got it at midnight at a Gamestore close to you. I got mine at Midnight, 2nd Copy of CE, opened it there, nothing missing, nothing moved, nothing loose, and no scratches. Brand new...

Angle the edge of the disk kinda towards the camera, the reflection leaves and it'll make the scratches easier to see.

my game disk was fine...but the "essentials" disk doesnt play..it tells me to either, "insert into an xbox 360 console." OR it doesnt more from the dashboard and it says "tray open." I finished the game and it played fine though

the legandary editions packaging is supposed to come with a black case and its supposed to have 3 disks in it, mine had 2 different cases, one with 2 disks and one with 1 disk, i feel ripped off and im e-mailing them about it!

take some brasso, apply it to a sock and rub in a circular motion all over affected areas it worked perfectly on my halo 3 legendary. im stupid, i set the xbox on its side while the disk was spinning LARGE scratch on the outer rim, after the brasso is done let it dry for 5 minutes and wipe it off from the center of the disk to to the outside edge, trust me it works perfectly its like sanding down the scratches with very fine sandpaper so fine you cant even see it.

you apply the brasso to a sock or other thing you don't care about and then rub in a circular patern where the deepest gashes are when you are done wipe of the excess with a sock, and if it still doesn't work rinse it off

thank god i bought this 7 dollar product thats a liquid that fixes scratches, i moved my xbox360 and it scratched it a little and couldnt play it for a day. but it works now.
Microsoft has to many problems but they fix it, there all fixable. homemade, shipping or call someone.

yeah i just got my halo3 and that past weekedn my brother moved the xbox to the bigger screen and guess wat it heated up fast as hell cuase it was pver a metal dvd player and so with time it went heating up to the boiling point and the heat went back to my 360 and now i cant fucking play my halo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not trying to offend fanboys nor owners, but Microsoft sucks. Their customers have been waiting for it and bamb another setback. Let alone, you play the game and it kind've works just to see the red lights thing. I really wish that Microsoft would actually improve in something. They just keep fucking things up. Luckily I was able to swap out my CE for regular edition. I plan to get CE later in the future if Microsoft plans to change the damn spindle to the regular/Legendary edition.

I got the halo 3 collectors edition and my disc was loose and scratched as well so i returned it and exchanged it and looked at the disc in the store. the store let me look at it. That one was also loose and scratched, so they get another one, they opened it, that one was loose and scratched too. and that was the last few copies they had of the CE Edition. I was disappointed that i couldnt play tonight

While your in the store, I would *lightly* shake the case to see if the game disk is loose. If its not loose, then it shouldn't be scratched, meaning its safe..
