That was pretty bad... A lot of foot slide, and yes your toes go threw the floor. The lighting is passable I guess, for non-photo realistic. And what did you do just drop a generic silver texture on it ? It does seem to be built to scale, but there is almost no detail, panels, rivets, etc.

good point - i guess I could lie and say it was supposed to be mud...

I'd say the only things that I did well was making it technically correct (from starwars blueprints), building the motion through a gear train and having a slightly humorous storyline. The rest of it including the lighting, textures, sound and ground were rather rushed and more or less an after thought.

I picked up a copy of starwars technical manual and scanned in the "blueprints" to get the scale and pieces right. Then built and animated it in Maya. Actually built a virtual gear trin so rotating a single shaft in the animation would mak it walk. That caused problems later when I wanted to make it run like forest gump - then had to break my gear train.
