What's good about this is he takes extreme Class despair and, right before you think he's going to get too preachy about it, lightens it up with just the right twist, to make it funny, instead of sad. To make it not matter anymore. Carlin was a genius because he could take a horribly painful truth and make it beautiful by sneering at it and saying "but hey, who gives a shit anyways, right folks?" He never diluted the message, and yet he could still soften the blow. What a great guy!

He's talking about the Republicans, Republicans represent wealthy people not Democrats. Democrats represent the Poor and Middle Class yet most of the poor vote Republican. Sad but true. You all should watch a youtube vid titled The Founders' Dark Side. It talks about how even the Founders of the Constitution were pro-oligarchy, anti-everybody else--pretty much Carlin's message here. It's really short but it blew my mind in much the same way Carlin's monologue did the first time I watched it. Def not the kind of stuff they teach you in school.
