I collect only open reel quad tapes but that Aerosmith sounded good. If I didn't live so far away I would offer you something to copy Aerosmith onto digital.

Thanks for the demo video. I own a Wollensak 8060 Quad 8track deck. It has great fidelity and it allows you to custom align the heads to any cart without opening up the entire deck. I believe the best 3 quad decks were the AKAI CR-80-D-SS, Technics 858, and the wollensak 8060 (made by the 3m company).

Yes, I got help from ak awhile back. I traded my 2 Akai units for a complete restoration on my technics. Neither one of them sounded too great, and they both made crappy recordings. I may try another one, but I haven't decided on an Akai, or another technics for the other system

Nice video. I think that I ran into you on Audiokarma when you were repairing your Akai. I also have both decks.
