'This is my office, this is my suit" WOW! I loved those words and as a former boxer, I loved this documentary. Nothing is better than boxing, nobody can overcome the hit-power of a boxer. It's been proof that a middleweight boxer can hit with a pressure of about 1000 pounds/sq inch. MMA Fighters can hit with the same amount of pressure, but when kicking and they're much more bigger. Boxing is to be practiced only by an especial type of athlete, MMA is for everybody...
The Prince of Pillows more like it. He says he dont like getting punched in the face because everyone else hits harder than him.He is all mouth and showoff. Some glad Willy Casey knocked shut his big ass mouth for once.Tyson Cave aint gonna knock anybody out with his weak ass punches. He be another crack head like Chris Clark someday!
So many people like Tyson want to be famous.. That's why when these boxers and athletes get done playing.. They fall out of the lime light.. They become alcoholics or go broke.. Can't handle not being famous..
@Zodiac289 Yes, it's a violin solo each and every time. The debate about who decides what and who takes responsibility for actions and decisions is also quite common in the sport. Or any sport, for that matter...
It's this so called flaw that compels the sociologist, but also gives us a sense as to how the sport conditions itself to think.
Dont sell boxing short. I enjoy MMA more, but boxing is a very important piece of the puzzle. Not many people would argue that a strong wrestling/boxing base is the best combination for a fighter to build on.
I'd say the future is brighter than ever. It'll just be showcased in a different way.
Sell it short? Technically, yes. But I wouldn't do it on purpose. I love to box and have been doing so since I was a wee one.
If anything, I'm trying to be critical of how things have become. I want the professional boxing business to look within itself and understand what they need to do to turn things around.
@xxhumblepiexx Actually, I forgot to mention it, there's a growing community of MMA fighters who have extensive experience as boxers. Some of which are in Nova Scotia.
I think a good chin and quick hands and feet could be a worthy stand up artform for MMA fighters.
