I agree. this is a theater experience for sure, and its a shame that most people won't see it til its out on DVD. take some friends, go to the movies!
I think in order for people to want to see this movie they would have to have be a fan, have some knowledge on what a grindhouse movie is and be say older than 25and know why it plays and looks the way it looks to many people them it doesnt come of toappealing to watch as something like say The Reaping which came out a day before Grindhouse.I had the best time at the movies since maybe the mid 80's when I say The Thing :-)
Damn shame it didn't do well at the box office. I was hoping we could see more of films like these in the future, but not to the point it becomes too repetitive. I'm not use to watching films like these. If I can I'll check out some other exploitative films.
It's a shame that it didn't do very well at the boxoffie opening weekend, and now Harvey Weinstein is so scared that he's planning to separate the movies and include the missing reels in a few weeks. All for a little bit of money.
Pretty fun movie. I might see it again. I liked both the movies quite a bit. Planet Terror was bloody, funny, and overall entertaining. Death Proof was also entertaining. Though I don't think the dialogue was quite up to par with Tarantino's dialogue, but still pretty good. Also Kurt Russell kicked major ass. He was charming, creepy, and pathetic. To me Death Proof is better overall movie.
death proof fuckin sucked it was just too many refferences to better movies, to much chatter not enough exploit hence the term exploitation
