I also have the sears silvertone Bobcat with vibrato tailpiece , straight pickups that are red ( not gold ) by same manufacture. has a couple real little nicks and a little scraped wherer I would stand it up ( didn't have a guitar stand ) . Got it when I was around 12 1964 - 1965. you can see pictures of it on sears silvertone guitar site that shows all silvertone guitars
I found one exactly like this in some old rednecks barn! He had it underneath all his bs. Its beat to hell, and its dirty, dusty, and has cobwebs all over it. He sai it was his brothers guitar, so idk if he will sell it to me or not. I wanna save it though. Its a nice guitar, from the looks of it!
@GreenFurnNW some are worth $300, but the ones with the orange sunbirst color to them with the case and all $800 easy restored. The one I found has 4 knobs like this one, but doesnt have an option for a tremolo bar
@GreenFurnNW the one I found did not have the tremolo bar option on it, but looked alot like this one, but the one I found was in rough shape, but could easily be restored
redstrat8, very nice. I have that Silvertone but without the vibrato tail piece, and yes, straight pickups as well. I've not seen a different bridge on any of the Bobkat range and brands (all made by Harmony). Perhaps yours had been changed? Very curious.
@ohgoodthinking99 NOTHING CHANGED RIGHT FROM SEARS STORE.I ONLY SEE THE ONES WITH THE WOOD BRIDGE.I SEEN I FORGOT THE GUYS NAME WHO HAS A KIDS TV SHOW HAS ONE LIKE MINE.I THINK HE WAS IN THE FUEGOS.AND IN THE MOVIE WALK HARD I SEEN ONE GUY PLAYING IT.MODEL NUMBER 319.14799

$300 without it working?
GreenFurnNW 4 months ago
@GreenFurnNW id say $100-$150 not working. But working, $300-$800 depending on the model, condition, and if it has a tremolo bar or not.

@ohgoodthinking99 Must have been changed. Practically all solid body harmony guitars had the same tail piece and floating bridge.
