Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros were absolutely awesome. I still listen to the albums almost everyday on my ipod.

This is one of Strummer's best songs, period. And and interesting bookend to "1977," the b-side of the first Clash single, which warned the listener, "danger stranger," about the imminent or already present violence in neighborhoods of London. In Bhindi, Strummer sings "welcome stranger, there's no danger, to the humble neighborhoods." An interesting evolution, in my view ...
