I have been to a shop yesterday, where I had the chance to try out all brands of camcorders.
First I was a fan of Canon's HF200 or HS10, but after I had them in my hands, I was disappointed about how cheap it really feels.
Also the handling was not as good.
The last camcorder I tried out was the Sony HDR-CX505VE, and I have to say that you not only feel the high quality of the material, it's also very comfortable to hold.
Playing around with it was a great pleasure too and now I actually consider to buy soon.
If you look up online tests about this camcorder, you will find the negatives to be a missing headphone jack and insufficient wide angle, but what I find more important is the way it feels in my hands and how the performance appears to me in real life instead of relying on some specifications on paper.
Contrary to some info on the web, the model I held in my hands had a microphone jack at the front.
WOW, this song looks like it's amazing. I would so get one

That might be because of the very compact size.
It's really tiny !
