if your coin was used a lot (circulated heavily) then it will weigh a little less. it is supposed to weigh around 26.73 grams with a diameter of 38.1 mm.
on the back of the coin (reverse) there may be a "D" or "S" to the left of the eagle's feather tips and under the "O" in ONE.

if your coin is authentic. it is a little over 3/4 of an ounce of silver and 90% silver and 10% copper to give it durability.

Sir my 1923 is like your coin but doesnt shine much is it still silver and what percentage of it is silver?
