I had this Phone since Feb 2010 and it had the BEST keyboard I ever used in a phone. But my screen died out all of a sudden 3 days ago and I was forced to get another phone, I have the Mytouch 4g slide now and the keyboard on that is HORRIBLE. I miss this phone ;_;

This phone is a laggy piece of shit. Doesn't type, touch screen barely ever responds, and resends messages too many times. Apps crash all of the time.

I know the Motorola CLIQ/DEXT MB200 has received the 2.1 Android update - but has the Motorola CLIQ/DEXT MB220 received the ANDROID 2.1 Update aswell or is it stuck to 1.5? Guys please dont qet dis phone ! The first 3 months i got it, it was working great and then all of a sudden it started acting slow. When u click the screen it freezes all the time and the application crashes. Im qettin the Sidekick 4G :) I rather the Sidekick anytime over Motorola cliq .

i used to have this phone, i freaking loved it >.< i recommend it for everyone, i love the appearance and the keyboard, i traded it with my sisters sidekick 08 for like a week just to expirement and during that week she dropped it and the wholee screen cracked, and i mean it CRACKED big time.. the cliq line is one of the worst.. it lags alot. but other than the lag i love this phone.

@UKnoM3LuVU it really is a good phone but i wouldnt reccomend the optimus... my friend has the optimus and he hates it... i think the cliq 2 is way better. but you can do the same stuff with the first cliq and the 1st cliq is cheaper than the cliq 2

@Supersouljia3 i just assumed the optimus was better since it was newer. but no cliq and cliq 2 are different. The processor speed on the cliq 2 is about 400mhz faster which makes a huge diffeerence considering 2.1 on cliq requires alot of speed for the newer apps. and you cant play angry birds on cliq without this constant lag.... cliq 2 is better but definately not a good phone either...

Here in Canada, both the Moto Dext and Palm Pre are both priced at $149.99 no term. I don't think this phone is getting 2.1 update, the Palm Pre is getting an update though.

I owned the Dext for a few months and while it seemed like a great phone at first problems soon appeared, the worst problem was the terrible lag which was at its worst whilst texting with the slide out keyboard sometimes you would type something and 10secs later the text would suddenly appear or the texting app would crash, the other problem is the poor build quality and the dodgy on screen keyboard that after updating to Android 1.6 had dead zones, i would not recommend this phone.

The light at the earpiece is a notification light i.e for txts and internet updates,the battery life on this phone is not bad if u put it into sleep mode when your not using it,I usually get about 26/27 hours from mine

@rolls283 it's supposed to be like that. It lets you know that you have a new IM or a new text message, missed call, etc. And, while charging, it will stay on without blinking when it's 90% or over. And whenever (charging, or not) it's 15% or below, it will also blink.
